Thread: help
It tells me that the skills will be decreased if I use them or I don't have the necessary skills to use and I am a TK student. Odd?
I'm a Fencer..0,3,0,1
I hunt on Dantooine, usually Huurton Stalkers or Pikets in groups 5 or more.
I have a serious problem staying alive.
I tried being Creature Handler, but Creatures always attack me over my pet. Creatures attack me as well.. instead of other peoples pet. I'm currently a 4,4,3,0 Medic, But my heals delay a long time before kicking in.
Lag is not an issue here.. I have no problems with lag at all.
I use a Gaffi Stick (110-217) not sure on other stats. No armor or anything.
All you master Fencers.. how did you do it?? This is becoming more and more discouraging by the day. Even worse since I can't stand my own agaisnt Humanoids now since Lunge is nerfed.
What can I do, to keep myself alive, yet still be able to stay in the battle.
Thx
When you heal, make sure that you peace out of the fight. I recommend keeping a peace icon on your hotkey bar (preferably next to your heal hotkey). Once you peace your heal will immediately happen.
I personally didnt go the CH route when i leveled fencer, but if you max out your mind stats, u should be able to spam health hit 3 to take down any monster down..(within reason - you wont last against krayts and impossible things like that)
Usually taking on a group of 5 or 6, i try to avoid that, but if you get caught in that situation, using dizzy2 would be useful, but the main thing is to peace before you heal. Hope this helps.
There was another thread recently discussing how to avoid getting aggro. I think that may be your issue here. Do you use /follow on your targets? Don't. I know it's a pain not to but it is critical to remain at the proper distance to avoid getting aggro and also being able to turn and run to maintain that distance without spinning right back around because yer on /follow with the thing that's biting your ass.
The safest distance to be is as far away as possible, but just close enough to land blows. This distance varies by creature type somewhat - "giant" versions of creatures or otherwise large creatures will have a range that is greater than normal or "smaller" creatures. It also seems as though there are a few steps between large and small so you'll have to experiment to find the right range for the creature and your weapon.
If you are pulling aggro off of everything, your pets, other people's pets, etc. I am guessing this is your issue. Hopefully this helps.

Greetings,
I have hunted on Dantooine lots doing exactly what you are doing.
Group consisted of 4 melee sometimes and with no pets.
The key to success is Multi Melee and single pulls. If you get the Pikets ontheir own have another Melee tank while you assist them and heal them.
You won't get as much exp but you will stay alive longer ![]()
During these hunts I never use specials and use my mind to heal others.
If you can get buffs do so! I am Master Doc now but have hunted there plenty of times with no bufffs.
Master your mind and you should have few problems.

merchant will not help at all except for novice soo you get your vendors really cheap. all others are just a bonus, if you do your own mining, then the efficency will help, Global advertising can help but IMO word of mounth is much better

It really depends on what you want to do with your game time.
If all you want to do is make and sell armor, you might as well go the merchant route. You'll be able to have nifty NPC vendors, lower maintenance costs, separate vendors for each of your product types, etc.
If you want to do something else in addition to armorsmithing, all you really need to have is just Business III or IV to get a vendor. While having a nice shop may be impressive, most discerning customers just want to be able to buy good armor at a reasonable cost.
I'm of the latter type.Since I've hit master, I'm able to do a lot of crafting through factory use, which leaves me quite a bit of time to do other things ... like work towards becoming a master rifleman, PvP, etc. It's all in what you want to do, though. Those 250 skill points give you a lot of flexibility (I'd still kill for about 10 more, though!)
