Add in vehicle components (modules) and you got yerself a deal...otherwise leave it as it is.

I really must say that I have to agree! I want to be able to customize the vehicles! It would be fun and add another element to the game. Plus, it would give people a reason to pay more attention to the Master Artisan profession and respect it more. As a force sensitive you can get vehicle speed and turning ability upgraded. I could see special loot items that can be put into a swoop. It would just be fun I think.

As of now the only fun I have in vehicle building is getting better percentages on experimentation. I am very close to getting 99% on experimentation with my vehicles! These I can sell as Uber Supreme vehicles and make more money!

There is a reason Artisan is a starter profession and shipwright is an elite profession. They dedicate thier entire profession to crafting one type of thing. If you think about it, none of the starter professions have anything elabrate, just a few bonuses to what thier elire counter-parts do.

I agree with the assorted chassis for vehicles, too many swoops and AV-21s. Should be able to have color hold on original chassis.

How about if Master Artisans could repair vehicles or make vehicle repair kits? Although that would probably remove cash flow from cities with garages. I'm just rambling

Theres also a problem with the fact that petitions are ignored. AND ONES IN CAPS ARE LOOKED AT EVEN LESS.

This is a forum its a place for constructive ideas to get to the correspondent. Who then filters them and gives them to the powers that be. Now that SOE hired a whole bunch of new devs to help professions instead of the CU, Jedi, or anything else its a good sign.

So if your not happy with the way vehicles are make a post with ideas you have for fixing what you percieve to be an issue. We will then discuss it and if it looks good push to have it go forward. Petition threads go nowhere but either get bumped with /signed for days or get lost in the forum ether

When vehicles were first introduced, it was said that there was a good chance there'd eventually bea "vehicle crafting profession" (would have to assume with MA prereq) and that the first 3 vehicles were just thrown in where they would fit without having to introduce any new profession at that time.

Who knows if they still plan to do this, but if they did I would think it'd be more like shipwright with upgradeable components (engines for sure. weapons on certain vehicles? the ability to have 2 people actually ride in a 2-seater?)

Anyone else think it would be cool if their was a loot kit type item that put together rare vehicles.

like you find the engine and chassis and what not and use a loot kit type item to put them all together.

This is already ingame. It's called the jetpack.

Sounds good to me, but I don't think they should be all that "rare".I feel no matter what vehicle it is, everyone should have atleast some chance of getting it. The game needs more vehicles for players... I'm tired of seeing the normal Swoop, Speederbike and Landspeeder jetting around.
Though I'd be even happier if the Devs just added new schematics into the Master Artisan tree...
