My TIE Interceptor is Wild Ride II. It's a ship name I've used in other fiction, and to the best of my knowledge, is original. I wanted something that would have been at home on a World War II P-38 or P-51, complete with noseart of an appropriatly busty woman. The II is there because my TIE Fighter was the original Wild Ride. When I get the TIE Advanced, it will become Wild Ride III.
My SoruSuub is named Jem's Fire. It's stolen a bit from the name of Mara Jade's ship in the EU, but Jem is one of my wife's nicknames, and it's named after her. When I eventually get one, my Decimator will probably become Jem's Fire II.
My TIE Bomber is DFA. Just a Sam & Max reference here. DFA stands for Death From Above, and seems perfectly appropriate for a TIE Bomber. Future TIE Aggressor or TIE Oppressor purchases will likely receive the same name with an appropriate roman numeral iteration.

Otto:
Starter TIE - Cannon Fodder
TIE - Mai Tai - just thought it was "punny"
TIE ln - Mai Tai II - had good luck with the last, lets keep the name
TIE Int - Mai Tai III - now i have too!
TIE Adv - Mai Tai IV - almost got a different name, man superstion sucks
TIE Bomber - Ka-Boom,I wanted to name this one "Bestine Belle" but it wouldn't take it, guess you can't use bestine
Yacht - XVII - not sure why, just thought 17 sounded cool
Tyki
Scky - Bumble Bee - it is what it looked like with a striped yellow and black texture
Dunelizard - Hornet - keeping the theme going
again yellow and black
no yacht crafters can't spare the lot!
not sure what my Decimator will be named, but it will be a one word oppressive name, similar to how the SD are named.

Y-Wing: Whirlwind
Y-Wing Longprobe: Typhoon
X-Wing: Hurricane
A-Wing: Tempest
My yacht has a different name however: "Maid of Aabenraa" - it was supposed to be the "Witch of Endor" (Who knows where I have this name from? It is NOT Star Wars!
) - but it didn't let me of course...

I have named all of my TIE Fighters Hellbat. theres Hellbat, Hellbat II, and Hellbat III. i named them that basically because i thought the name was badass, and cuz bats scare people the most when in a large flock, as well as my character being evil and all.

Decimator is called No Tomorrow. Thought of what a ship full of rebs might think as they watched a fully crewed Decimator with a fullsquadron escort (12 fighters), slowly make it's way to intercept them.
the Advanced is known as Six O'Clock Shadow. Once I get on you 6, shaking me is like trying to shake your own shadow.
the TIE/In is the Suicide Slider. She's a good ship but not really meant to make it back to the hanger

Mandash Grim's the character. A tough old bird and veteran of the Clone Wars.
His last ship, before Beta, was The Courser. Part of his backstory was his freighter breaking down and that leading to his having to help out some colonists on Rori (the player city of Vagabond's Rest). A 'courser' is a light riding horse used for racing and hunting, archaic term I think. I first used the name for a ship on the MUSH OtherSpace. You didn't think there hadn't been multi-position spaceships in persistant online roleplaying worlds before? Well, there were but they sure weren't as pretty being all text-based and not graphical.
Grim being the gruff ex-CorSec cop and privateer knows a bit about streetfighting. Hence his fighter's names:
Light Fighters (different makes) Grim's Shiv. A shiv is a makeshift dagger used most often for stealthy attacks against unsuspecting opponents.
Heavy Fighters (different makes) Curbstomp. Once you beat down an opponent in a streetfight, one way of making sure he doesn't get up again is putting his skull against the edge of a curb and stomping your boot down on it. The ship's name reflects the fact that once it starts up on you it's not letting up until the fight is over - permanently. You're about to be curbstomped.
YT-1300 Tramp Freighter The Ikopi Stag. Grim's not much for wildlife and nature but he happened across one of these noble beasts on Naboo. The critter's bearing and power struck a note as did its self-reliance and independence. He resolved then and there that this would be the name of his new freighter.
