I already put down 100k deposit to someone that said he would be a shipwright (bloodfin). I was the first to put a deposit soI get first pick of ships. No telling if the guy knows what he is doing, but it was the only crafter that madea claim to take pre orders. I got 4 mil saved up to spend on starship later.

As far as making credits goes, I think the Enraged rancor missions are the best. So what that they heal the lair, with a melee area attack it goes down quick (I use a Scythe). WhenI am FS xp grindingI have to stop hitting the lair to let it spawn more rancors, or chance killing the lair too fast. The same goes with Mokk/Janta/Kunga missiosn, melee area attack kills the mob to be able to loot. If BH is all you got to go hunting, at least get master pistoleer to go with it if you want to hunt rancors. I had a BH x,x,x,4 and that was good enough to make credits. Get comp armor/buffs/brandy/arisa/uber stimB med packand good LLC (around 925 max damage). Get in a solo group to get the mokk/janta/kunga mission. Drive up as close as 15m to the camp/lair, jump off your swoop and start spamming singe2 at the lair (move a few meters away from your swoop so the specials the mobs throw will not hit your swoop). If you time it correct you will have the lair blown up and driving away with your reward before they can incapp you. I made around 3 mil this way without killing any natives.

Once again, unless you can make more than 800k in an hour on dath, dant is my place:

"Dant is DEF the best place to do it. 30k missions for mokks may not be as good as 38k for enranged rancors on danth, but enranged rancor's heal their lair, Mokks dont. I dont even kill the mokks. I just accept mission, go destroy the lair, repeat. Its saves SO much more time than killing all the people there, and you CANT do this w/ enraged rancors, because, as i said, they heal their layer. The most I've been able to make doing this is (correction)800k in an hour. For some reason, I've gotten 500k in 30mins before, but could never keep up the pace to get 1mil in an hour."

Keep in mind though, I NEVER take missions more than 1.1k meters away, and always take the two missions in the same direction.

Well do to my high profitability as a merchant (love those Krayt pearls) I'm up several million.

I plan to hit at least 20mil by the time JTL rolls around.

Yep, just got back from Dathomir. Made 2 mill an hour there with my TKM/Rifle/Doc template.

Expecting to have about about 800 million by the time JTL launches. So that gives me about 200 million to spend on each ship I want and still have a couple of hundredmillion left over for improvements/upgrades.

Any budding shipwrights out there taking pre-orders. I'm willing to put down asmall down payment (say 50 million)for the ships I want!

Wow! I thought I was rich with my 4 million credits! Architect made me rich, Droid Engineer made me poor, and Bounty hunter kept me stable. 11 million? I think I spend too much on everything to amass 11 million!

why dont you just wait one month before even trying to buy a ship?

i mean every1 then already has a good ship and shipbuilders wont be making that much money anymore and the prices will drop so that way you will be able to affort the same ship as everyone else except that yours just costed less

and if you want to jump into space right away your best bet is to buy a weak easily to repair ship and have fun with it....

unless your a master brawler/tkm/master fencer and want to be a god pilot from the start and spend all you creds at once

I agree with this statement. I have a little more than 150 million credits to my name, however I don't expect to blow my fortune on a ship (although I admit, JTL was the motivation for building the bank account this high).

If this is the twitch based game that they say it will be, then I intend to level up the old fashioned way - the way I ground up everything else I've done, including jedi. Patience, determination, and perseverance.

My grinding vessels will be no more special than the next player's is, regardless of his or my finances.

Nah, here is my approach.

1. Take Shipwright, grind it out.
2. Build my own ships, components, etc.
3. Amass enough ships to last a long while, maybe make a few creds along the way by selling.
4. Drop Shipwright and continue on.

I refuse to pay outrageous prices due to expansion inflation. Nope nope
.

youll pay even more for the grind
