I've been away from the Jedi forums a little while.
Can someone please explain what "Skill point conversion" is?
Have the Devs changed the requierments for each box?

So anyways i take a break from swg for a while and come back to it after the CU... I had a friend explain the new stuff to me and everything but i do not know anything about attacks and armor and how to tell what weapons are good... is there maybe a guide or a post that could help me? Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I am really confused. Did you folks get NEW options for BE enhanced clothing? I used to wear +17 stun / +4 melee def shirts. Now I'm sporting a +15 ranged / +15 melee def shirts. I missed these changes somewhere. What else is new? Anything in the lines of BE enhanced gloves or boots? I used to have a good grip of what you folks could make but recent discoveries have put me on unsure grounds. Is there a list of new possabilities?

Means they have 12 points to experiment with when making weapons and weaponsmith components.
12 points is the most you can get.

From tapes? How do Iget them and do I just use a crafting station and do EXPERIMENT?

All master crafters have 10 points to use whle experimenting on an item. There are special Skill Enhancing Attachments (SEAs) that grant bonuses to crafting or other skills.
As for the "12 point WS" deffinition. Each 1 point from the SEA adds .10 to the experimentation points. So, if you were lucky to get a +5 WS experimentation SEA you would have the 10 points from master and the +.5 from the SEA thus having a total of 10.5 experimentation points.
You need a full rounded point of EXP to be able to gain an extra point to be used in experimenting on weapons. Thus +10 in SEAs are required to get to an 11 point WS and +20 points in SEAs are needed to gain 12 points.
This example is geared towards WS experimentation.
The SEAs that are used for crafting skills are called Clothing Attachments also known as CAs.

I may be a master at some areas, but I'm just starting with FS.
I need to get 6 of the skills, but do they cost skill points? Also, am I limited to only 6 skills? I see more that would be handy.
We're in phase one on ahazi I guess, since I talked to whip for the survival quest that I wanted. If phase changed before I do all 4 survival skills, will I be unable to do the ones I have left?

skills cost one skillpoint each. im pretty sure you can get more than 6 trees, altho i havent tried getting a seventh myself.

You can get all the FS skills you want, but they do cost 1 skill point per box ... if you're going for Jedi filling all branches wouldn't be wise.
