Well they were delivered a little while ago, the smallest, Sabrina, was a still born, and the Alyssa came out breathing, they were cleaned up, had their foot prints taken, and even baptised (sp?), after which they were both brought back to the room, and later Alyssa gave her last breaths. heh Alyssa had my nose.
The problem that arose is called Twin To Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS)
TTTS:
-Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) is a disease of the placenta (or afterbirth) that affects identical twin pregnancies.
-TTTS affects identical twins (or higher multiple gestations) who share a common monochorionic placenta.
-The shared placenta contains abnormal blood vessels which connect the umbilical cord and circulations of the twins.
-The common placenta may also be shared unequally by the twins
-The events in pregnancy that lead to TTTS are all random.
-TTTS is not hereditary or genetic, nor caused by anything the parents did or did not do.
-TTTS can happen to anyone.

For every one of us who posts, please know that there are many others who feel for you both, but simply do not know what to say that can possibly make things any better. I, for one, have been reading along, but could not - and still cannot - find the words. I am so sorry for your loss.

Well she still has swelling, everything else seems to be ok with her, hasn't said much on it.

My heart breaks for the both of you. You know how much we love you here... please tell Cris we're thinking of her, and of you, during this incredibly painful time. I'm so sorry, Rob.
