Ok... I am real excited about JTL... so of course I have a few questions. After I get my ship, pilot profession, etc... and a able to fly... Can I take my ship to my city and like park it outside... I mean is it going to be like using a mount or bike while on planet? Or is it going to be as soon as you climb aboard and start the engines, is it going to automatically load into space? I mean it would be cool to travel from Dantooine to Lok is need be with out using the shuttle system.
Also... if I have mastered my current professions, am I gonna have to drop something to take up piloting?

Where to begin.
First, read the FAQ.
Anyway:
No, you can't park it.
You go to starport, open datapad, select it, load to space.
No, you don't have to surrender any points. Anyone can take and master a single tree pilot (there are 3).
To be a shipwright you will have to use points, though.

Okay...you cant take your ship out on planet, or fly through atmosphere...Your ship is stored on your datapad....and youcan activate it at a spaceport....you will then be in orbit flying your ship...maybe with a loading screen.
You can use your ship to fly between planets...or between zones in space
The only JTL proffesion that will take current skill points is Shipwright...The pilot proffesions will be separate..and will not need skill points to advance.
Thats the current info on how these things will work...but as the Dev's say...All is subject to change
Hope that helps

The shuttle vs starship will be similar to shuttle vs vehicle.
Currently you can take the shuttle to another city. The trade-off is the 5 minute wait but you avoid the PvE possibilties. For short trips, it is sometimes quicker to use you personal vehicle...as long as you dont interact with the environment.
Same with JTL. You can take the shuttle and have deal with up to a 9 minute wait (average about 4 minute wait), or use you starship. But once you load into space, you need to move away from the planet, set up a hyperjump, fly to the planet, and land. This will probably involve some time in space as well as three load screens (getting to space, hyperspace, landing).
Again depending on the interaction with the space envionemnet, it may actually be quicker to take the shuttle from planet to planet than taking a ship yourelf.
Shuttles = Instant travel, variable wait time to start
Starships/Vehicles = Variable Travel Time, No wait time to start

Tested last night on gorath, scattershot does not avoid any jedi defenses.

Is there any difference in the damage on Area and single poisons? Or are they the same

Yes. Area poisons at the same level with the same resources and subcomponents are about 80-90% of the power of single poisons. Same holds true for diseases.
Edit: Adding 90% to my estimation, b/c I created a 105 effectiveness disease two days ago, and then had a 99 effectiveness area disease with the same resources. So...that was a little higher than 80%.

K--do see that I changed it a bit. They are always weaker, but not always by much.

Assuming they are the same effectiveness, an area and individual poison will do the same damage. The difference is in the base effectiveness.
I would disagree with jkray8472's assessment of the situation. In my assessment, the poisons have a larger discrepancy. A good med's effectiveness will be about:
Individual poison C: 320
Area poison C: 240
Individual disease C: 115
Area disease C: 100
The diseases were about right, but I thinkjkray8472 overestimated (or underestimated) poisons.
Edit: Changed pronoun to noun... I want to be PC.
