I am having a horrible time deciding which elite crafting profession to go into, what is the most profitable crafting profession?

This is an impossible question to answer right now with everything being so uncertain post-CU.
Plus, I personally wouldn't recommend doing a profession for the "money", but that's just me.

im working on chef right now, it seems like its a pretty long profession to master (sort of). I'm making synthsteak at 189exp a piece in practice mode and just doing that to get to 32000exp for the first level takes a little while lol

I have found that it doesn't take that long. I am about to deserts 1 and i grinded soypro. I use a recursive crafting macro and craft them for real, then eat them. Decent exp with a crafting macro. Only took me, to get 3/4 of the way to deserts 1, about 20-30 mins.

No one could say for sure. With the CU being right around the corner saying what will sell well is nearly impossible. Foods could be needed more than ever, or we could be given a back seat. Same with all the crafting profs atm.

Profitable, enh? I don't know. Personally, I'd suggest Shipwright (in the short term) for a couple of reasons:
1. It is unaffected by CURB adjustments
2. ROTW has a bunch of space content. Plus I have the feeling that more of the EP 3 "bring-ins" will be flying rather than traipsing on the ground.
Now...I am so glad that as a chef, I can craft all those lurvely foods that help people in space..../sigh
All other crafters will be affected somehow (and unpredictably at best).
