I believe Ormachek is what you are looking for. I don't think it makes a huge difference, but every bit helps. It also does not work for crafting professions.

That is correct. I've seen it only really count for TKA/PIKE/SWORD/FENCER classes when they are grinding solo. Dancer EXP it was okay but seemed not to make THAT much of a difference. And for what it takes to make I'd rather make something else.

Yes, up to the 100 cap.

So, for us 4004 dabblers, they're nice, but for MCMs... useless.

Ok, let the flaming begin LOL

Why are some of you saying that you need a new type of damage, a new weapon? You are unarmed and you knew that you would be when you started the profession.Punches and kicks do kinetic damage. It's that simple. I knowthat you feel left out withstun weapons out there, but you arenot the only profession without stun damage. I am just wondering why you feel that you need a newweapon, when you are classified as unarmed.

Even a martial artist can realize when he is outclassed. They must adapt, it is the way of the martial artist. While we may prefer to go unarmed (and i really do) most can, and will if need be, use a suitable weapon. In every martial arts school I've been to, we learned to use several types of weapons (staffs, swords more fun stuff like sais and tonfas) While we may not (and game wise shouldnt be) as skilled as a professed fencer, or swordsman, we should have the ability to use some weapons if the situation calls for it.

I know RL doesnt carry over to game that well, but the point is a martial artist will adapt. If we need a new weapon/dmg type then so be it. Personally I'd like to see different fighting styles introduced that you can switch between, that have strengths and weaknesses. Some that would change your damage type (judo or ju-jitsu-like style= restraint?), as well as a way of using our 'chi' as a weapon, anyone ever hear of the Dim Mak?

just my thoughts

Man I really think we need a support group for all the whiners that are constantly complaining about our soon to come second damage type.

For crying out loud IT IS HEAT DAMAGE! What the hell can we do with heat that we couldn't do with kinetic??? Why are you all so upset and threatened by this? Does composite armor resist heat any less than say energy? Plus, and I can't stress this enough, the Devs are the ones that are giving us another damage type so go and whine to them, not on this forum. It wasn't our doing, and what do you expect people to say here, that you are right and we will petition against us getting a new weapon?!! Ya ok.If it makes you feel any better read some of the posts, some TKAs don't even like the idea of heat damage. Its not like it is going to boost us in PvP, the only thing the Razorknucklersmay be good for is PvE and not even then really. Plus you are forgetting the fact that the key component is looted from one NPC that spawns once per day, has 350K ham, and 100% kinetic resist. Oh and I forgot to mention that we would have to compete against Pikeman to get them and then have a trustworthy weaponsmith make one for us. Ya there aren't going to be too many of them around to make any difference anyway.

Seriously I have been a half a dozen other combat professions and I have had my a$$ handed to me by enough TKAs to know that they are powerful but really I don't see the new "knucks" making us any more powerful now. Hell, at least it wasn't stun damage!

Punches are kinetic damage... BUT I thought that stun was a state... not a damage.. And we can stun......... Or am out of the loop?

And to the original statement I really couldn't care less about this because the mobs that are 80% kinetic resist are also that high in heat resist too.. and due to the resources to make them, most people won't have them.

I always felt that if you wanted another damage type, as fists and feet can only do kinetic damage, then spend your points to get the damage you want.

Martial artists do use a variety of weapons in RL... But in SWG TKA is unarmed.. Granted some would want to learn weapons mastery but that goes along with "spending points to get the damage you want".

Spend those points... They are yours to use freely.

Seriously, what's the point of this thread? Why come on a profession board and flamebait? What does that prove? What good will it do?

my desire for teras kasi would be for the devs to remove the vibro knucklers from the game to make us completely unarmed. They would have to increase the damage that we would do with our fists to balance it all. Then i would have them put different types of teras kasi only gloves that would serve the purpose of altering the type of damage that we do. so we would wear stun gloves (or whatever else they thought fit to give us) that wouldn't increase the amount of damage we deal just the type of damage dealt. If we are martial art practitioners whose name means "steel hands", our fists should have the impact of a hammer. The focusing of our "energies" combined with our meticulously honed physical strength should be quite impressive while still in balance with the rest of the game. this would be my utmost desire for this profession.
