If tomorrow they told me that with the addition of JTL everyone would get a second char...and that the FS quests could give ya a third..I'd stop doing the damn grind right now. Jedi = gimped and overrated...but I would like my second toon sometime before the next century.

I am not sure about all the professions, but playing Master melee I can in average fill4boxes of 1 line by just making missions on dantooin 1.5-2 hours per day during 21 days. Atthis timeI amgetting max of weapon exp possible (plus appropriate amount of combat exp). It gives 60K of FS exp. In reality if you go just for exp it is even faster. I know people who max 2 weapon exp before they go to the village (120K FS exp).
So the only thing you need is to play at least6x21 days and you are done.
The realgrindingwill begin when you would get an initiate.
Playing commando you will probably get it much faster.
Best regards,
Mish

Honestly, I was gung ho with grinding fs xp, but after a week or so of it - I am finding it very boring and tedious. After doing some of my own math I should qualify for initiate April 23, 2026. The upside to this is that it will coincide with my retirement giving all the more time to enjoy my initiate.

The real grinding begins at padawan. At initiate all that you need to do are some silly quests that take roughly 8 - 12 hours total.

Hmmmm aside from becoming a padawan getting your second slot then dropping all your FS skills?

Not many people would want to drop all that hard work once they got to Padawan status though. The 2nd char should be given earlier in the process.

I'm just so sick of grinding and i've only mastered 7 professions, 3 of those being holocron professions. I guess what I'm saying is just give me the slot dammit! I dont want to WORK, I do that for most of the day. now im all mad and bitter.

I'm left wondering.
All the Jedi I've seen are running around killing non Jedi with relitive easy or on display, with force run on while holding the shift key down so they can have sparks as they walk.
I've just spent a week killing Rancors and I'm bored out of my skull. Is showmanship and killing non Jedi all there is left to do once you get Jedi? It must get tired really fast.

Yes, give us the second character slot as soon as we have completed 6 of the FS Quests... I don't much mind the 50k FS xp + 0 Skill Points for the Novice FS skills, but I hate the thought of having to grind all that xp and waste 24 Skill Points on skills that I will just drop anyway once I get my second character slot.
