I can say it was this mission that ended Storm Squadron for me. It really is very long, and darn difficult.
What I can offer is that Pilot can be soloed all the way through: but you have to quit Storm Squadron and join the RSF on Naboo. That's that, its dirt easy and you get the Krayt super-ship at the end, and a YT-1300. And, you can still go overt and do Imperial things with Imperial friends.
I'm soloing my Tier IV missions right now with little difficulty, its like the laid back piloting program. No nasty uniforms, or military regulations, or political uprisings. No vile gangsters making you do nasty things for cash. You just paint your ship yellow, and watch the back of the royals.
That's that

I dont know what RSF you joined but a few of those quests were beast, even a couple rebel aces i took along for help got vaped the first time around. In one of the teir 3 mission you escort a YT through naboo space, and its pretty easy if you know what your doing. But after that you have to go to corellia where you have a small fleet to get through. Pretty easy if you have some backup but almost certain death to go beraling in there.
second, just wait till the teir 4 exit mission.2 guns ships and 10+ fighters. I solod most of tier 4 my self and it gets pretty hard when the RSF NPC's sudenly decide to stop fighting. But then again, I mastered RSF before the devs implemented the new overload and shunt programs. So i was stuck with normal shield recovery and limited capacitor capacity

Think it was fun for you, try being the Smuggler alliance pilot trying to help your RSF friend complete this mission. RSF attacks SA on sight. Not only did I have to fight that...what were they, black sun?, but the 'allied' fleet as well.
One of the most fun missions I've ever done. ![]()
