My boyish innocence was shattered last week... when I heard that this whole Leeroy Jenkins movie was... staged.
I was shocked. I was saddened. There was denial, there was anger, there was sadness... finally acceptance. It's true we cannot trust anything that we see/hear/read/taste on the internet.
Not only do the SOE devs lie to us... the purity of an idiot playing WoW has to be tainted, showing that it was not WoW that was being played, but rather my emotions that were being played with... so easily manipulated by some WoW wonks and their video-capture software.
I need scotch. A lot of scotch.

Hhmmm, staged you say? I was always a bit skeptical that someone just happened to capture this moment on video. Now, if Bigfoot had been in there, well then that'd be a different story then.

yeah, well... that's what I HEARD. Ultimately, it's not so important to me that I'm going to actually spend valuable time online trying to prove or disprove... there are only so many hours in the day to download naughty pictures, after all.

Does it matter? If it's real its a beautiful example of stupidity camptured on film, if it's staged its a well thought out and developed peice of cinema. Either way it's funny.

It's so funny because that's exactly the kind of thing that I'd do.
I once did something similar shortly after the game came out. I was in a group of guildies (no masters of anything yet, it was early in the game) on Lok and we were running around. I aggroed a few kimos and they wiped us all out.

When I first saw it, I was pretty sure it was staged. It's just so unlikely that someone would happen to be FRAPping at that moment. But I speculated that it was staged to reinact actual events, like the clips from Unsolved Mysteries. In either case, it's still good stuff.
Let's do this thing! LEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOY JENNNNNNNNKINS!
