Well let me add my opinoin to this...A couple of days ago I was helping someone complete his mission and after surviving for over an hour we got taken out. The entire mission was failed because we got killed after completing most but not the last of the objectives. Now the entire mission has to be done again. Now this was with two of us. Now imagine if that guy tries to do this mission solo? This is a horible design decision by the devs. Forcing people to group just to master their profession is a bad decision because its hard as hell to get people to group up to begin with. Now you ar asking people to spend hours helping you on your mission. i had a hard enough time getting people to help me during my time of playing the ground game. I wasted days and weeks asking people to group.

Imagine a bunch of new players getting JTL for Christmas. How long will it be before they quit in fraustration once they start getting killed doing the same missions over and over? How did JTL manage to make it out in this state that fraustrates a lot of the players? Someone with common sense was needed in this decision making process. The devs killed the GCW and i was wondering what they would do to totally screw JTL. It looks like we have the answer.

Sure there are always power gamers and their uber groups already place who always get the high end loot and content but mastering ones profession should not be uber impossible! Save the uber hard content for some future high end loot mission. Its silly to make this expansion geared towards the power gamers who have their power gaming friends to help them. The devs need to stop the bs and fix this before people walk away instead of waiting then be forced to bribe them back with free passes to play the game.

I knew it was just a matter of time for the whiners to start complaining about "forced grouping" after they whined and complained about "forced PvP" and got the devs to remove that.

I'm new to SWG, and for me, the biggest turn off is coming to these boards to hear people complain about this and that... and when something is changed or added - ie. privateer master ship - we hear more god damn whining!

Just STHU already! You want to play solo? Go play the mulitude of other SW games out there that are soloable!

Let me ask all the group playerssomething.. Why should I have letanyone be part of my pilot advancement? Even though this is a multi player game it does not say that if you want to play you have to involve everyone else who plays SWG in your game play. MMORP doesn't mean you have to join anyone else to be able to play it means you are on the same server as a lot of people and thats all. Some people say " Well if you don't want to play and interact with other people then why don't you just go play JA or KOTOR" and to that Iask why? Why should I have to play another game just because you want to interact with other players. I spend 90% of the game alone hunting by my self, I choose to thats the way I play.

Forced PVP mostly only ends up with trouble and grief, most of the PVPers (not all but most) only want one thing and thats to be able to attack anyone they want whether the other personlikes it or not. Fun for the minority not for the majority. Juusmanyou saidpeople whined to get forced PVP get taken away from Kessel and the master mission but I have to ask, How would you like it to have a group of people keep taking you down because they can? how would you like to have your advancement stopped because of not being able to finish your mission because of some jerk just wanting to cause you trouble? Many PVPers don't want a challenge they want a easy kill and nothing morethats why pvpers like to attack lower lvl players. I have seen this at the star ports, someone who shuttles in gets ganked while he is still loading because there is the oppisit faction member wating and camping. The PVPers like the forced PVP because their simply isn't enough of that group to make PVP fun, thats the only reason they want to see forced PVP. They want to have more people to fight because of the small numbers of PVPers that want to fight.

Even though PVP players play this game and I feel they should have a place to fight I don't think we the players that don't play PVP should be their play toys so that they can find the game enjoyable. My sugestion is to have a PVP server where you have to play PVP and free transfer service for thoese people who want to go.

i soloed storm squadron. if you cannot solo the pilot missions then perhaps you either need to bone up on your piloting skills (i.e. twitch) or get some friends. Friends are easier to buy than skills.

That's got to be the biggest steaming pile of B.S. I've seen in a long time.

Just asnwer this, how many of your alt's where flying along with you when you "soloed" them all?

There are 2 Storm Squad missions that simply can't be solo'd, I know because I spent 3 weeks trying.

just because you can't cut it... i had some trouble with a few missions, but soloed all the way up to master. The corvette took a little doing, and i guess i am not too proud to admit that i found someone who was pounding on it when i arrived in system so just grouped with him and finished it off. Now at master, i have learned the methods of soloing corvettes.

which storm squadron missions did you have problems with?

Again BS

When I solo'd my Vette it was starting from 100% and I was SOLO

Can't cut it my a$$

You mean to tell me you took out a gunboat, 2 nova's and thier fighter/bomber escort squad simultaniously BEFORE they hypered out on you.

This has been a topic that has been discussed a few times since release. I agree that one can't always get a group together, but I believe that to change it the way you want it, will hurt the game. In order to be an Ace, you really should be an Ace. If everything was easy, then I would feel Ace is like every other profession in JTL, a grind and nothing to be proud of.

Every mission in JTL is soloable. I only required assistance on two Tier 4 missions, and I am sure if I practiced a bit more, I could have soloed them as well. If you are not good enough to solo the missions, you have two choices. Get some help, or practice. If you go around taking on enemies at your tier, you will find better items, get some credits and get better at being a pilot, and then you can go an solo the missions.

The missions were not there for you to glaze through. If that was the case, then why have them at all. They were there to allow the real aces a quick path to master, and those that arn't to spend some time getting there. If you are having a hard time on these missions, when you get to master you have two choices. 1) PvP, which you will suck at, or 2) stop playing JTL because there isn't very much content after master. The content was the missions you have to do on the way up.

PvP is a big part of JTL and now that you don't have decay when you PvP in deepspace, it will be a major part of JTL and PvE will only be for people working towards master. Better practice now as you work your way up, then get to deepspace and get fustrated because of your lack of skill.

This always amazing. Why is it people who just refuse to read the posts or are just too stupid to understant them feel the need to mouth off? Let me make it is simple for you. I have no problem with grouping if it was reasonably easy to get into or put a group together. The problem is you can spend days and not get people to group or not get a big enough group to do a particular mission. That is what people are complaining about! Requiring people to group when most people who have been playing this game from the beginning knows how hard it is to put a group together is silly. What we have here is people will just log in and be forced to spend their time begging others to spend hours helping them.

I have not even attempted to do my current missions in the last 3 days because the last time I tried it I got overwhelmed by waves and waves of fighters. I got a message like "1 target destroyed 8 more to go" then the shipI was protecting got destroyed. I don't see how I can change the result without help. Now I did a big portion of the Investigation tree before there were mounts or vehicles and the shuttle waits were 10 minutes. I had to chase down my marks on foot and half of them were bugged but I still did them. The difference is those missions were doable while in JTL you get the feeling you are totally wasting your time because you will never be able to handle a lot of them by yourself and can't get the help you need to complete them so you are subscribing to the game to stand around and do none JTL playing. By the way how long have you been playing this game? I sure hope its longer than 3 months.

I agree, and an Ace is?.....

-Someone in a guild, with a lot of people helping him, he make 3% of damage to Corvette, is really bad in PVP...make master without problems with help since the first tier.

-Someone who play solo and destroy waves and waves of enemies justatacking him.

Asthe game isdesigned you must talk about guilded players not masters...you can see a master in PVP when with similar stuff than other players, usuallly win.

If something is unfair, that implies that one person has an advantage over another. Everyone works within the same system here. If you don't like grouping, play another game. Yes, the end missions are hard, and sometimes require wingmates. Well, that just might be because you are fighting 10+ ships at one time in most of those missions. How often do you suspet people win 10v1 fights? Really. Massively Multiplayer Online. MMO. Remember?

So whats your problem. You agree that if you can solo it, you are an Ace. There is your challenge. Be an Ace. Don't whine because you can't be a fake Ace.

i love how everyone in here says "i spammed for weeks with no response!"

i addignore every spammer i see, instantly. i help everyone who asks. not only are you people unskilled pilots, you also have no concept of community in an mmo. it's not surprising in the least that you get little help, most people respond poorly to the antisocial.
