Hi
We were in phase 4. (my first time there! yay!)
I talk to the appropriate NPC's and ask Captain Sarguillo to get aFS Branch Unlocked: Combat Prowess: Ranged Speed
I think that I've accomplished this versus asking for Enhanced Reflexes: Melee Defense.
I group with other and proceed, over time, to get credit for 50 outlaws and 25 Pirates. The game reports that I have succeded in my quest.
It puts into my inventory An Aurilian Sculpture Section (1/4).
When I go to train I don't see an option for Ranged Speed!
Looking at the tree I notice it is the Enhanced Reflexes tree instead of the expected Combat Prowess tree!
I thought maybe, ok, I made a mistake/clicked wrong box/whatever and choose that FS Branch.
But, upon noticing I got the Aurilian Sculpture Section (1/4) in my inventory it makes sense to me (and the guide)that I indeeed did select the Combat Prowess tree.
What have I done wrong?
Thanks for your help.

You did nothing wrong...you got Ranged Speed Unlocked and that branch IS part of the Enhanced Reflexes Tree...if you go ahead and spend 50k FS XP and get Novice Enhanced Reflexes, you will then be able to see the Enhanced Reflexes tree in you Skills window and you will see the Ranged Speed branch.

He is right you need enough XP converted to FS XP to fill in the first box. But before you spend a lot of time filling int Ranged Speed look closely at this forum. There are many posts about Ranged Speed not working. If this so, you will spend a lot of time filling in a branch that can't help you, and you might get pretty up set to find this out after filling in all the boxes for Ranged Speed and not getting anything for it.

Let me sum up my plight.
Old man comes and give crystal.
2 days later Sith Shadows spawn while I am loading into player city.
I am incapped when I am finally logged in.
I wait the 3 seconds left, stand, heal. run, heal
Invite friend for help because they are level 77?
Old man comes again? Gives me crystal while shadows are 50M away.
We kill sith shadows and I loot a waypoint.
When I use the disk it says I can't make sense of the information.
On my quest journal it says: Check - Talk to the Old man, Check - Sith Shadow Ambush
I can't get a waypoint, I still have the crystal. What can I expect next or am I bugged?

The unreadable datapad drop is a fairly common bug. Delete it and the sith will attack you again and drop another datapad. Rinse and repeat until you get one you can read.

Yeah you need to kill things that are same or higher lvl than you. If you get missions from a terminal they will be the right level for your character.

has to con to you in order to get xp, basically it has to be within your level range. solo you want to hunt blues-white in groups yellow-red-purple (where applicable)

you're not bugged.
you should be killing things around your level. I don't know what mobs are level 51, though sorry.
For each mob level below yours you receive 10% less exp, until you kill a grey, for which you get zero exp. For each mob level above yours you receive 10% more exp.
