Thread: Noob Question
Well, one was a sword which I now see that has a combat level of 40 (mine's 5 duh). The other is an armor type... no combat level listed... just sepcies requirements (which I meet).
The BIG question for me is how do I monitor my combat experience? I see that I get 50 here and 75 there.. but there is no "you need X ammout for combat level 6" like there is for the skills. I see up in the top left corner of the HUD I can click between medic/ranged/melee icons all listed as "5", but I don't know if they all level together or not. I just figured out I have to bacta shot myself while in combat to get medical xp...would've been nice to know that earlier. heh.
I've been playing the game since JTL, but only as a pilot. Now I want to start the long process to Jedi... and have to work on my ground game. Of course, I've never actually played on the ground...
Boy am I rambling...
Ah, ok so it's Recon armor...
So let's see if I understand this... my combat level of 5 will go up when I get another combat skill? (i.e. once I get the 4th box of 1hand melee)? I'm headed to swordsman... at least that's what I'm planning on... maybe fencer...only doing 1h now... haven't started 2h.
Yes, for almost every new skill you attain, your combat level will increase. You will hit level 80 once you master 2 elite professions such as swordsman, or fencer or whatever. I believe it is possible to get to that level without 2 Full professions; I'm not sure as there is no exact formula. As for the armor certifications, if you go check out the skills box, go to different professions, check out the skill boxes andit'll say which armor corresponds with each profession. It should say something about mitigation. Until you get mitigation up to 100%, it will hinderyour speed among other things.
