As I understood it if you delete your main you will still have your FS character but you can neverdelete yourFS character and start over as it is tied to that main character.

Don't delete your main, Ive been explained that your main has a No/Yes field in the database.

No = You can't create a Jedi character yet (untill you have done all professions required).

Yes = You can create a character on that server now.

Everyone start with a No in that feild. When you unlock it turns into a Yes.

When you start to create a Jediit will check your main character and see if it has a Yes.. if the system see that you have a Yes it will allow you to create a Jedi.

If it see 'No' then you can't create a chracter on that galaxy...

If you delete your main and create a new character that character will have a NO by default.

The reason it is NO its because if you delete your main they presume that you want to starta newlife including a regrinding holocs.

To sum up: Don't delete your main.

Ok, it's been said before, but it's late and I guess everyone's being very calm about this, but here I'll clear it up for you:

**WARNING** DO NOT DELETE YOUR MAIN!! **WARNING**

We don't really know what will happen, and the devs have said before that if you value your Jedi, DO NOT DELETE YOUR MAIN. We know for a fact if you delete you main, and then delete you jedi to re-roll, you will not be allowed to create a Jedi anymore. Also, we know that the Jedi, does remain in existance after the main is deleted, however; we don't know if it's permanent. For all we know a scheduled database sweepchould check and see "oh the FS slot is no longer valid, the main is gone" poof, bye-bye jedi. Don't do it man.

what if something happened to your jedi ...

what if that database was corrupted and you lost your character (it could happen)

SO you need to create one but can't you ask a csr to fix it they ask for your main character's name.. you give your 'new' character's name

they reply 'sorry that character doesn't have a force character slot'

That is why they do back-ups. A back up may becomecorrupt, but with the back up systems used by game systems today, probably no more than a days worth would be lost.

regardless, why risk it

this debate is pointless.. if you want to keep your jedi safe and sound, then dont' delete your main the dev's say it, the csr's say it, the knowledge base says it
