most have the right coordinates, some of them have the names wrong..but by checking the surveillance droids outside you can check to see which base it is.

Zion you mis-understand me, i don't "blame" the devs for anything. I fully understand why they make the choices and why the things take place in the time frame they do.

The fact is, these things take time. With so much to work through, being more forceful like you suggest is really peeing into the wind. It doesn't put those problem to the top of the pile. All problems are vetted and rated by the QA's, passed on to devs for work, then pushed to TC. Sometimes that process can literally take months for just 1 problem, so multiply that by the 100's and no number of forum posts will make one problem take precident over others, unless it is truely game breaking.

Also keep in mind what may seem "minor" problems are most likely much more complicated than we could even comprehend. With such a interlinked system, changes to even the smallest thing can result in major changes some where else.

Like i say, there is really nothing more anyone can do than what has been done. Doing anything else just isn't effective and a waste of time and energy.

I got ya. Well, forgive me if I find the attitude in here a little "defeatist", especially when I have seen fixes get pushed through in a week with this staff, and all the stuff I put together were fixes.

Somehow, we've gone from me seeing some things that could be easily corrected once the proper attention is brought to them, to people treating what I am saying as if I am asking for a overhaul of the entire profession.

Forgive me if I find that quite sad, especially when I have seen other, more pro-active communities do more with bug fix attention. So far, this has to be the most apathetic community I have seen in all of SWG....

The point Higginsis is trying to make, is that all of those changes you cited were part of the normal development cycles. They had nothing to do with community action. Trying to revise your history and make one doesn't cut it.

BH terminals- in the CU beta it was made clear that a known issue was that many terminal missions would be broken, and would all be on the list for fixes in turn. The scope of the BH terminal mission fix was actually a surprise to the community as I recall, since they were most often just asking for missions to spawn correctly leveled mobs. No extensive loot table changes, nothing regarding elites, none of it. I know this because I was in the CU beta, and I had an alt grinding BH when the terminal changes came out.

DEs and Entertainers- make up your mind, are you talking about droids, or are you talking about props? the two things are more than a year apart in their introduction. Neither the DE nor the Entertainer community asked for what they got, and in reality there was some resentment about the usability of the interfaces, and the fact that they "just looked good" I know this as a longtime DE who was there throughout the revamp process.

Squad Leaders- again, it was apparent in the CU beta that SLs were a tough fit, and didnt get much. and it was made clear when the time came, they would be revamped.

Rangers- the same. Also ask Smugglers just how much it means to get an In-Concept post. They have as little relation to concrete Dev progress as the bowl of oatmeal I ate this morning.

Counter example- Smugglers being BY FAR the most organized and vocal segment of our community have repeatedly been shunted aside, and left hung out to dry. They have made lists, written documents in the hundreds of pages, petitioned, worked with Devs in good faith when they were promised things, and in the end have gotten nothing.

Conclusions- Your examples are rose colored looks at actual events at best. Your initial approach was slipshod (I'm still convinced that your biggest bugs are not the community's biggest bugs). In the actual real history of swg development, these forums, and the voice of the community don't mean a whole lot, and activism just isn't worth the time. I've talked with Tomo off and on since he became Correspondent. Without a doubt in my mind, I can say that every issue you've brought up, and every issue that comes up on our boards, has been brought up through normal channels to the Dev team. I point out the POB parts, and their revamp as a shining example. What I'm trying to say, is that what can be done, has been done. If you want more done, taking initiative is nice, but thinking you speak for anyone but yourself is mistaken. Basically, you stated your case the wrong way to begin with. We're not apathetic, but we are realistic.

Hi,

In the scale of things some people may see this as a pointless thread but in mine, and i'm sure many other peoples opinions, it's a question which needs to be answered...especially for the veteran Jedi.

Will the species which are not able to wear the jedicloaks and quest rewards now, be able to in the upgrade?

I am a wookiee jedi and was angered and very dissapointed that we could not wear/use the items. As the 'special rewards' for jedi is a cloak, will i and the other species be able to wear these. If the answer is no then once again i would say that even more people will leave the game who were willing to try it - especially as there is no way that SOE are allowing species change as part of the revamp.

I really hope that i/we get an official response soon to stop rumours or people leaving this game for no reason. I have been playing this game for over a year and have 3 accounts and 4 characters. 2 of which are wookies (1 jedi - full temp) and if i can't take advantage of the quest drops on mustafar or any other rewards due to the fact i can not equipment them, really will spell the end of the game. If not the game, then i would thinkwookies and the other species which are in the same situation would be very rare indeed which would be a shame.

Pls don't flame this thread. I/we need an answer and support from alltoons in this situation to final get the point pushed across to the devs that this need acting upon before the upgrade...if it hasn't been done so already.

I agree, we need an answer on species being limited in clothing/armor, etc and how it will affect these "rewards"

It's not just wookies, I am a trando and am concerned that there may be some reward or good item that falls into the category of gloves or boots which I would not be able to wear.
