First, congrats - it's a real rare item. I really wouldn't sell it if it was your only one. You may never get one after a couple of thousand ships, and if there's not that much interest, you're not getting it's full value.

A guildy got his helmet after weeks and even more weeks with Black Sun camping..

Anyway, I needed 1 more lvl6 cap. So I fire up a BS Duty mission. 10minutes later, I had both the cap and the helmet.

Hehe, your guildy would hate me, I think.

I got my helmet on my very first tier 4 duty mission. I was short on time, so I only went through three sets of waves (Killed the command wing three times.)

Landed, and opened my inventory to check out what parts I had gotten... eight or so various ship loots, and the helmet. I literally gasped out loud, hehe, I was stunned!

i hate you . i got my helm after i think 2 weeks of grinding Tier 4 missions out of theed. killed alot of thoughs ships just to loot one. for got how many was awhile ago but still... was a crazy loot drop.

Hehe, no, it doesn't do anything, it's a clothing item, even, with no mods or sockets. The reason people have paid so much for them is two things...

1: They are freakishly, unbelievably rare

2: They look unbelievably badass.

Arn't they the same as the privateer ace helmet?

I honestly have no idea. I don't think I have ever seen the privateer ace helmet.
