Okay, I fixed my game. I had some custom UIs installed. Removed them and all was well. If any of you have them custom UIs, that is the problem.

This is going to sound stupid... but have you tried to switch UI colors? Like maybe switch to Alpha Blue and then back to windu_pruple.
edit - heh, just read page 2. glad you got it worked out.

With custom UIs it screwed up the option to switch UIs while piloting a ship. I switched to Alpha Blue on the ground and launched and still had errors. I then tried while piloting and didn't even have the option to switch UIs. So I then tried while walking around my ship and got the option to switch the UIs again. Also, while on a custom UI, I saw the quest icon was not functioning correctly.
So yeah, that's it. This time it wasn't SOE, it was using UIs not built for the new JTL stuff. Ownage upon us.

then check and see if your driver is older then the one they have listed.
