Fair enough, give Rebels a helmet without the facemask thingy at tier 1, as long as Imperials are allowed to loot the same items, or items of equal value, on the ground, because so far in this new patch, we get to hunt some moderately rare Rebel NPCs for one, single piece of loot at a 1:100 drop ratio, as opposed to Rebels, who can hunt any Imperial NPC for a large selection of loot at a 1:50 ratio.

Ground loot as nothing to do with space or teir rewards.

We get no flightsuit 1 helm and 1 jacket, no master level fighter and a gimped MP ship with only 2 ordnance slots as opposed the nova / deci's 3 slots.
I do agree with that. I don't know why privateers dont get a flight suit, or a helmet until master. The bandaleer is cool , but still....
As for the master level ship, they took it from privateers and gave it to everyone as some cult object. Should have stayed as the privteer master ship like it orginally was in beta.

What is unfair is the inperials get a flight suit with imperial symbols and a flight helmet at teir 1, All non craftable not sure on unlootable. Rebels get a orange flight suit at teir 1 thats it, this is a craftable item. Then Privateers and those that cannot wear a flight suit get a bandolier that acts as a backpack, This is also non craftable and non lootable.
The difference there is a TIE Pilot suit can only be obtained from the pilot tier1 or from the Emperors Retreat if your really lucky.
they need to give rebels either a flight suit with symbols on it, or a chest module that all the pilots have in the movies if they wont give us our helmets. For the privateers they need to give you the flight suit seen in some of the movies, the ones that looked like space suits with a helmet. then it would be fair.
Rebel flight suits don't have symbols on them, it would be a big diversion from the flightsuits that were in the films in they did.
for all extents (intents not extents)and purposes i would like to see flight helmets craftable by armorsmiths or tailors. apon crafting they can customize the color and design of the helmet, or have them be able to make a custom kit that does both.
no. flight helmets were a uniform color in star wars as they should be. different color flight suits? Yes. Gold Group, Green Group, etc.

Rebel pilots tend to customize their helmets. The only truely plain helmets in the movies were in A New Hope. All white helmets with a blue Rebel flame symbol. However as I remember all of the pilot shots from the death star attack show pilots with individually customized helmets. I think perhaps Dak from Empire Strikes back had a plain helmet with a blue rebel flame. As I recal all the pilots in Return of the Jedi had customized helmets. This could be part of the reason that Rebel helmets haven't yet been put in the game. However one would think they could apply a skin and paint selection for such helmets the way they did for the ships. Still I'm sure this would be very complicated codeing. I however would be perfectly satisfied with a white helmet that had a rebel symbol on it.
Another issue with rebel equipment is that it's harder to justify making helmets that fit only humans like the Empire so they have to create a different version for the different species. Still they have done this for all the armor helmets so I'm not sure what the problem is.
Really though I wish there were more generic helmets in the game. Right now my Reb and neutral pilots are using the Swoop helm wich looks ok but it's the only easily aquired headgear in the game that looks anything like something a pilot would wear.
And another thing. The ace helmet is too small.

Hate to say it but the standard Rebel Flight Helmet is the new Imperial Hat issue.
Why do the Devs do this to us? I waited forever to finally get a working Imperial Hat and now the Rebel players have to wait (hopefully not forever) to get the Rebel Helmet.
Whats the deal? Does *real* Star Wars content like this just not make it into the game because more important content (Image Designer tents, Comp armor, Chefs hats, etc) take precidence?!
Come on Devs wake up!! Put in the Rebel Flight helmet already - not just that "Ace" wanna be helmet! And give it to Rebel pilots at tier 1, just like us Imp pilots get our helmet!!
Sheesh!
