i like the idea of being able to jam raidars, this would seriously help improve SLs in PvP combateby giving the opportunity for suprize attacks. one thing though, if a SL succsesfuly jams a player or a groups radar those effected should probably recive a system message saying that their equipment has experianced some type of interferance and is not working at full capasity. or something along those lines. that way people would know that someone with a jammer is out there but wouldnt know where they are coming from.

I agree, I miss the days of beta when we all showed up blue on the radar, and you had to TAB like mad to find enemies. It actually gave a stealth aspect to town combat, running down side streets and in and out of buildings to avoid enemy overts.

Do you mean horizontally?
Completing all level 1 skills before moving onto level 2?

I think it would be better if there was one special column that unlocked the special abilities at that level.
For example for BH it would be investigation. To "unlock" tier 3 specials you would have to be at level 3 in invest. You could still train the skills unevenly though. You would get the speed and accuracy bonuses just not the specials. At 2/4/2/4 BH could use the specials up to tier 2.
To use LLC 4's ability (Lightning single 2) you would need to be level 4 in invest.
Other classes could have a similar special column. Basically it would be the hardest to level. For pistoleers, carbs etc it would be the one that requires combat exp. For commandos it would be field ops.
This still allows people to dabble (which i think is a good thing), it just makes the dabbling process a bit longer and uses some more skill points.
Someone could be 4/0/0/4 if they just wanted a big LLC and a pet. I don't think anyone would argue that they earned that strength.
With this system you could move eyeshot to pistol 3. Since it is fairly lengthy to get to invest 3.
Another good thing is that you don't have to move everything to master and allow the dabbling spirit of the classes.

Yes I was thinking horizontally. Like the whole bottom row before you can move up. I like Weevil's idea also. It makes a lot of sense to me.

I would like to see the exp for the each row fill up before you even are allowed to put points in. 48 points for eyeshot 3 will put the leechers off.

Wouldnt work in all classes, well at least not the starting classes because you do only go up one line to get to certain things. But in BH this would fit like a glove.

Oh, sorry if you had this idea before....just thought it up and posted when I saw pistoleers will prolly get dual-wielding.

Duel wielding is cool, but you cannot duel wield two-handed weapons. I cannot think of anything cool for swordsman, but out of the elite melee classes only TKA or Fencer would be able to duel wield their weapons.

Now...here is an idea that I thought up while watching a swordsman smash a worrt with a power hammer: dual wielding axes/swords. So that the other swords profession does not bitch and whine (fencer) maybe they could use shields with their 1 handed weapons. I for one would LOVE to see this, making melee professions much more desirable. I'd like some feedback on my idea....also any ideas for pikeman/TKA?
