The firespray we have in game is a new model designed by KDY. It is a starfighter version of the bigger patrol ship, which was only a two seater. It didn't have much room to begin with. If you read any of the EU, Boba sleeps sitting up in the cockpit. His cargohold has a prison cell and that's about it. It would be a lousy MP ship. There would be nothing for a co-pilot to do.

I've heard this suggetsed about the FireSpray before. Broadly I like the idea. A lot of the debating about the YT-1300 came up because I think a lot of people (judging by responses) want a combat-capable ship that they can fly alone, but at the same time, walk around inside and carry passengers.
So two alternatives, adapt existing ships to do this (Firespray, YT-1300 {yes please!}), or create new ships. Since we've already got a new ship (Krayt) we still might see a ship like this yet, I hope.
Before you say it, yes I know there's the Veterain "reward" ship (dubious qualification of a reward, but that's my opinion), but you can't really do anything with it. Unless I'm totally alien to the player base, I think we'd likea passenger ship that we can upgrade and fight(a bit) with.

I did notice that right off when I saw the fight outside it and plopped in ESB to double check. It does appear to be bigger in ESB. D@MN now I gotta go look at it again! LOL

I guess not having a bed on board wouldn't be so bad as long as he could switch off the artificial gravity.
As for the cargohold, I'm guessing the prison cell was a retrofit too, so without that one would probably have more free space. Why in the world is that ship so bulky? For anything classified as only being a 1-person combat ship that happens to have a bit of extra trunk space, the thing is huge. When I see them loading Solo onto it, it looks like it should be a freighter-class ship. But while we're on the subject, it looksbigger in ESB than it does in AOTC.

if you read the tech manuals or the cut-away books or even read the book, Slave One ... the FS has a decent size cargo hold area..
Boba has been know to carry a crew of 4 onboard (not including himself)

The Firespray has enough room for two pilots and Boba modified his to hold bounties e.g. the extra space.

Nooo, the Slave One has a decent cargo hold and room for four. Not the newly designed and built Firespray.
Boba had the last one of that design of Firespray.

hmmmm to me the firespray that was shown in ep2 on the water planet wasnt really that big no it wasnt the size of a fighter but it was as big as the yt-1300. i had to go a look at that seen to double check and to me it was a medium sized ship. the blue prints everyone is talking about i have seen them and by proportion it would have been as big and the yt-1300. Maybe i am worg but do a double take on ep2

ok im kinda not happy about the firespray not beein a mp ship as it should be like in the movie not to mention it has a nice few decks
then again it could be a problem as i would think it would be mainly accsessed via ladders and the fact the cockpit sits virtical could be another reason
anyways heres some
blueprints
you could all look at
I feel much the same about the SWG Firespray. Bugged the everloving poo out of me when I heard it was SP. I was so hoping I could at least get up and walk around in what space it did have. As far as co-pilots, the Firespray does have a movable gun. It's not really a turret, but it does have an axis of movement. It would be great if I could have a co-pilot that could aim (yes I know it would be up and down only) that gun for me helping me get some better shots in some cases or flipping the gun around backwards and shooting an enemy on my back door.
As far as it being cramped, the only thing that makes it cramped is A
common sense
and B
the cut away book. Every other "licensed" depiction makes it seem rather large and fairly roomy, cavernous in some instances, but that goes against all common sense. The Fett comics always portrayed Slave 1 as having an immense interior with actual holding cells with bars and room to walk around in each one. I always wondered how Boba Fett got that Tardis technology in there (Yes, Iused to bea hugeDoctor Who geek). In the books, the ship never seemed that big, but it was made out to be fairly roomy with a security(?)/ship's computerstation on the deck immediately below the bridge (I think... Maybe I'm getting that confused with another reference. Either way it was very large and he travelled with at least 2 passengers in most of the series.) Even when his "father" piloted the ship it seemed a little more roomy than portrayed in the cut away book. Also, was it just me or was Boba sitting right side up when Slave 1 was on the landing pad and he activated it to get the guns firing on Obi Wan? Did the entire command deck rotate for landing purposes?

I believe the pilot's chair moves to face the direction the firespray faces, EX: when landing the chair is horizontal, upon takeoff it moves into position.
