BUmmer.. I mean I kinda understand obviously why a CH needs to train a pet... but the only way for it to gain XP and grow is to fight with a CH seems rather limiting.... It basically makes the owning of a fully grown pet by a non CH very difficult...

Bummer....

anyone on Starsider wanna make my CuPa grow?

Hehe... I think you might wanna offer lots and lots of credits for this service, as I hear the rate CH's charge ranges from 250k to 1m for a fully trained / aged pet now. Although I have read posts where folks charge less.

also a note about your cu pa:

I assume since you bought it you meant you bought a CL10 BE made cu pa in deed form. Yes, as others have said... it will take a CH to mature this pet to make it grow, but because they screwed with BE pet sizes, your cu pa will *never* grow to mountable size. For some reason the devs decided to make BE made pets slightly smaller than their wild counterparts, and so a BE cu pa will never get quite large enough to ever be mountable. The only BE pets able to be made that will get large enough at CL10 to mount are the dewback and cu pa.

only dewbacks and falapasets are large enough at lvl 10 for a saddle. however all mounts that are wild can be mounted at lvl 10

Boooooo you said dewback and CuPa.... I am assume you meant another creature... SO what other BE creature will be mountable?

Oops, my mistake! I meant falumpaset... had cu pa on the brain on that one, lol So only BE made dewbacks and falumpasets will get large enough at CL10.

heyas,

I have 2 quick questions:

1. Is Force channel a viable ability? in other words - can you pass that or is it a must sincethe slow force regeneration is such a big issue ?

2. Can anyone point to a good solo spots ? After the CU it looks like the solo game has kinda died.. running missions is ok but still had ot be something better then that..

thanks.

i would say its very practical to have, not absolutlyneccecary, but you will do a lot better with it

for grinding purpouses, lairs are still the best way to go solo, but the odd DWB, geno caves or myyyrdil caverns does give some exp

thanks.

chanel is must my friend it is the only feasble way to get your face back with out major down time lol

it termporyly lowers HAM i.e u don't want to spam it if u are vonrable because u can soon end up with less 1 k health and a BH or enmay can hit u for more then that

If I remember from using it yesterday it replenishes about 300-400 to your force pool and removes roughly the same amount from you Health pool. Also each use takesa hit to your Action and Mind that has to regen as well (but those are faster).

I have always had channel and love it... when you are grinding it's the best way to regain force. I have also used it in the midst of a fight with a BH after I have determined they aren't doing much damage to me. Channel allowed me to fight a BH for 1Hr and 15Mins the other day and come out victorious (and my force was still well above 50%). I think it's a must for anyone with a Defender template because your fights last so long and you take less damage.

1. Does bacta shot work on pets and does it give xp if so?

2. Has anyone done any research on the length of cool downs for healing (how long between applying bacta shots, etc.)?

Hi

Yup you can heal and buff pets to you minds contentnot sure about the xp side as i never use pets but if a pet is in your group then you do getthe extragroup bonusxp so i don't see why not, but you can modify your combat tab to show you where your xp is going so you could find out that way.

As for the cool down timers is will very if you have a speed buff or not but i think that B'shot is about 7seconds with buff and 10 without, B'jab is about 6 seconds with 4 without but i've never tested it myself i just like to get stuck in with the fighting and and heal as and when i'm needed. Lol i hope its been some help but i think matahairy's guide might have some tests on the speed of heals but i've got something really important to do so i aint got time to check for you.
