there is also the concern that i have come across of if the number of professions isnt set to 5 and may be 4 as well (difficulty based) or if they pattern may not be in order of professions obtained by holocrons... messy indeed.

the thing that would really mess up any theory based on a formula would be if the holos dont give out the professions in order of the formula. that would make ti near impossible till towards the end to work it out. however, the other problem is finding the base formula. EG, pc's work on logic as we all know. there for there has to be a overall formula. when you are assigned yourself a formula at char creation to allocate yourself professions there would be a base formula behind that to generate your formula.

What we need is someone who is really huge on number crunching to do some intense research etc and see if we can find and backwards engineer a common formula to find a pattern.

I'd really like some advice and career path counseling from the BH community..

Currently I'm a Master CH and 2-2-4-2 Pistoleer. Being a BH has always intrigued me and I'm thinking of dropping Master CH for BH.

Now here's the choice: Do I Master Pistoleer and work my way up the Pistol BH line or do I halt my Pistoleer tree and focus on being a Master BH? If I was to focus on Master Pistoleer/Expert BH how effective would I be as a Bounty Hunter???

Any advice would be appreciated.

I tried the pistol defence line and switched to carbine. The added accuracy makes a big diff for me, and chargeshot and cripplingshot are both nice moves.

I haven't lost to a pistoleer anything spec since the switch and willing to test with anyone on flurry that wants to.

Hello mates, Im going towards smuggler, because... Well... I just wanan try it

Im currently at Pistol 3, working at Pistols 4!

And I went out and bought two good FWG5s!

But they are very diffrent, and I don't know which to use when I get Pistols 4!

The first one is a normal FWG5 and it's stats are:

Speed: 2.0

Damage: 79-216

Ham cost: 11/34/18

And the second is a Featherweight FWG5, and it's stats are:

Speed: 1.7

Damage: 60-161

Ham cost: 11/66/17

Skill mods: 5+ Counterattack, 5+ Dodge, 5+ Pistol Acuracy

Which is best to use? The featherweight is faster and has nice skill mods, but it does much much less damage I really donm't know which of them to use, when i get pistol 4... I really wanna become a smuggler and start to slice containers

Well, if you want exp fast... I don't know, the mods and speed equal out the less damage. If it was just speed alone, I'd say go with the more damage pistol. Are both sliced?

I'd go for the first one. The HAM costs on the featherweight are way too high.

But if he's buffed, the ham costs won't mean much. My DH17 pistol has about the same HAM costs.

assumeing you only have the pistol line and no pistoleer here, but once you get DF4 and LD youl have better DPS with the first pistol, that speed difference isnt enough to make up for the damage gap, personaly i wouldent feel the bonuses were worth it either.

this thing can be pretty handy for this type of thing

areaAttack1 all the way on either pistol, that will lvl you up quickly, which ever you spent the less on. realy doesn't matter which pisitol you get for grinding. just check critters stats. High heat don't use FWG5, low acid use dx2, low energy use Republic or Scout, low stun use geo or tangel

For monsters use the first one, and for lairs use the 2nd one, 1st is way better

Ok, I am not a big fan of the holo-grind and I have tried it several times and stopped. My one char got up to 12 professions, but I fell in love with TKA/Pistoleer/Smiggler so I kept it. I got fed up with all my friends unlocking and decided to go for it again so I created another account. Did 15 professions in 4 weeks of on and off playing. Probably could have done 18 if I played only that char, but my main char is co-leader of largest rebel guild on Gorath so there are demands on my time.

My question is should I just jump in again and try to knock out the last 17 professions (or less should I unlock sooner) or should I just wait to see what the new system is? I am not a fan of grinding at all and think it is miserable and only reason I want to unlock is to have the char. I don't really plan on grinding Jedi, just want one for the novelty.

I am caught in a bind here because I really am torn on if I should do it or not.
