The word "Derelict Ship" leaps to mind. Theres one in Dathomir near some orangy asteroids, theres also one in tatooine, also near some asteroids.

I ran a space RP adventure based around one of those ... published the story in the Phoenix Call .. for those who remember it. Its under articles and called "Derelict - A Space Adventure", It took place during the wind down from a fun party that is covered in the article just before it.

It was half RP'd on a yacht using the game engine and half RP'd like table top rp through group chat. It was a lot of fun for those involved. Even had memorabilia hull fragments made up for those who took part to decorate their homes with.

It's either a large inactive ship, or a small inactive station. There's also one in Kashyyyk that serves as a base for one of the Pirate groups, or the Rodian clans or some other group.

It's partly ornamental, like the other odd assorted objects you can't interact with (other ships, debris, etc). It's also solid, you can run right into it.

They are used in some of the missions too, if you pay attention to mission text. I know one of the rebel missions involved escorting some scientist away from a destroyed space station, and that's where he shows up - you just have to read the mission text and pay attention to see it.

it's just ambiance. there's all sorts of junk like this floating around space. perhaps it could serve, or did serve as a marker.

Originally we were supposed to have bouys to jump from and to in space. That was supposed to be our markers.

I am wondering if this is one.

If that isn't it, I'd say it's decoration. A sattelite or something like that. Maybe even some type of mining equipment since they seem to be near asteroids.

Seen them before. Always thought it was just space junk.
