Thread: HELP!

I meant hunting heh heh, but, can u explain it in detail? Like where I should look for grinding groups, and how much exp I'll get grinding with a certain CL killing a certain CL...and so on. Thanks Achehece.
you CL determines the XP you can get - you get neither more nor less then you can for creatures of a CL that is close to you
you will get a drop of you fight stuff under your skill level (all the way to 1 if it is more then 5CL's away from your level) and a bonus if you fight stuff higher then your level (your group level that is or your personal if you are soloing)
Finding groups that are near your level is the fastest /best way to level. Generally you want to be within 5-10 levels of everyone in the group. The highest CL group member determines what can and can not be hunted for experience. That is if you group with a CL 80 you will have to hunt at least CL 75 targets to gain any experience.
That being said... ronto from mission terminals do not group aggro so they are a popular mission target. Missions scale somewhat to you CL level (or your group CL level) so that is the fastest way to find Grindable creatures now.

Thanks. But, how much exp per kill if it's like hmmm you decide the best CL i should fight with groups 5-10 cl of me. I solo'd tortons and purgisses on Rori, and boy did that suck! 1k per the kill! lol thats pretty slow eh?
Ohhh! That would be why you would fight with ppl CL 5-10 higher than you right? So you could get like 3k per kill, right?

not really.. you would not benefit that way (your group level would rise to their level and so you would still get your capped xp)
The reason to hunt with those who are slightly higher level like that is you kill stuff that doesn't instantly kill you(stuff higher then that blasts through your smaller health poolquicker T_T)diesfaster so you get more xp per min of combat. (8 guys shooting something vs 1 guy shooting something) plus they can train you as needed ^_^

Oh okay, but what would be the difference between training with lvl 80s?
your health pool
creatures are level 80 hit hard! very hard... if you health pool is around 1200-1500 like I think it is you would die in 3 hits or so even with the CL 80 damage mitigations.
You would of course level just as fast as long as you take care not to be hit. (through a low damage ranged shot into combat rather then your hardest hitting shots and pray not to draw aggro.

But that would mean if the exp of training with lvl 80s and lvls 5-10 bigger than you would still have bad exp because I get 1k per kill fighting with a group of 80s and 30s mixed on Dant. And that would mean 175 kills per skill box on the first horizontal tier. Very slow, very boring

Your pretty much stuck at that progression rate. the only way to really speed it up is to group with a bunch of other players at the same CL as you and fight stuff 3-5 cls higher then your group. That way your group CL is your same level but your Challenge level of your targets gives you a 30-50% modifier. You probably will die often this waybut you will also gain XP faster.
if you do do this
- get buffs
- have a doc friend who is not grouped who can rez/heal you in combat nearby (you will need him)
- use foods and drugs
- use a full group (8 members)
- target none group aggro targets
- use the best armor you can wear without hinderances. (you probably can handle Basic Recon)
