Thread: help
Yeah, its been gone for a while. I was going to do the same and Master the Politician profession until I realised that aside from the loss of the skill points and the adding of a Badge, that there was no tangible benefit to being a Master Politician (we are a Research Metropolis - and even the benefits of being having the Research specialisation is regularly questioned by all the crafters in town as being next to useless).
The whole Politician profession to me is in the same boat as that of Scout or Medic. If you need it you pick it up and use the skills on a temporary basis. If you don't need the skills then you drop the profession and do something else. I couldn't enjoy the game any other way (though the latest nerfing of experience points banking has me wondering about my future in the game).
It would be nice if SOE got their heads out and had a look at all the issues surrounding Player Cities and the Politician profession - not like that will ever happen as they are too busy "adding uber-l33t content" to stop the combat folks from leaving the game.
There are 30 something other correspondents each with a set of problems, and only 1 TH to look at them all. I'll pick up this issue again after I make sure we get on the GCW wagon (since that's time-sensitive), and hopefully alert some CSRs of a few game-breaking bugs, such as people's treasury charging them too much, election went bonkers... if you guys want this addressed sooner, vote it into the next "19 questions" for us and I'll take that up to TH.
... in the mean time, please hold on tight. I know you won't like this response, but that's the best I can do right now.
You have several options if you want to be an architect but cant afford it:
Spend a bit of money to buy some harvesters, and harvest the ore and gems yourself...this could take some weeks though.
Find an architect who wants some walls made...they will give you ore and metal, and youwill make 10 structural modules, then use these to make 1 wall segment. This is much much slower than the standard grinding way of making Statues but its a darn lot cheaper.
Its not good to go around begging for stuff though as you will soon be /addignored...best to play the game properly like everyone else rather than trying to rush through.![]()

Anyone by any chance have 600k ore and 300k gemstone that i can use to grind to master please? I need the income for my PvPer lol
I would just like to point out that if you are working up to master arch to try to finance your PVPer you have chosen the wrong profession. Credit for credit, Arch is the LEAST profitable of all the crafter professions ![]()
You should only consider architect if you have a love for the profession, or if you are a masochist.
