Most Novice and Level 1 ships are on the bazaar for 6k, that is less than what you have to pay to get the Chassis from the Chassis broker. Ships are much cheaper then they should be.

There are tons of ways to make money in this game. I know more broke crafters then I do broke combat people.

Get off your behind and go do something productive like us crafters do and you will be fine. Kill things and sell loot. Take Janta missions, do survey missions, collect resources......

Your inability to play the game is the problem, not the economy.

I guess it's the principle of the matter. Just because you "can" doesn't mean you "should".

I know, I know. It soundspreachy, and even in game it's a dog-eat-dog world. But it's true.

But, you will make more if you charge less. Because the demand tides toward you.

But, meh, I digress.

its kindof funny..

JTL is actually easier (and more fun) to make money in..

just doing my tier 1 missions + duty missions to reach Tier 2 i made more money thatevening than i would have a full 2evenings running rebel missions on the ground..

"I have been looking for a standard TIE fighter (not the light duty one) and the cheepest i found was 60.000, hey come on, that is a Tier 1 ship." - Redbullvodka

It's a star ship, not a speederbike. If you fly out in the starter ship that you get from your trainer & start collecting parts then sell them on the bazzar, 10 items at 6k each=60k. Mind you I was charging 10k for the light duty chassis(Syck, TIE, Z-95). I set my prices based on what materials I have. Grind resources, 2-3cpu. 3* & higher resources, 4-8 cpu. But lately I've been out in space collecting parts with my light duty syck & have had no trouble with Tier 2 or Tier 3 ships. For now, I'm mining parts.

My .02....now where's my change?

I have said this before, be patient.

It takes a LOT of resources to become a Master Shipwright. Right now the only Master Shipwrights are those who found out what they would need in Beta, and stocked up ahead of time. They planned ahead and now they get the reward of producing high demand products in short supply.

In fact they are too busy. Have you tired doing a search for a Master Shipwright? They are all unsearchable now, which tells me that they do not want players coming to them to pay exorbitant prices.

Over the next few weeks the second wave of Master Shipwrights will come in. (I hope to make it in a week or so, currently 3144) Once that happens ship prices will probably come in line with building prices. The resources requirements are similar, although quality does not matter as much with buildings as it does with ships, so expect slightly higher prices.

Given the severe shortage of steel (of any quality) now, prices will remain high for some time. If people really want cheaper ships, start harvesting steel. In fact, you should've disregarded the "no more grind" propaganda from a few months ago and been harvesting this whole time, but what's done is done. Start harvesting.

Case in point: one of my guildies wanted to do shipwright and had to pay 60M for the resources to master it. How much needs to be added to each ship to pay that back, just to break even? Not 5M per ship, but alot. So, due to the steel shortage, you'll be seeing inflated prices for several months. Your best bet is to join a guild with a shipwright and promise to help harvesting.

The fact is that things cost, go do something (Running Missions) and get money.SHOP AROUND, not everyone charges alot for ships.Expect something between 500-800k.

I bought a Z-95 and Y-wing for a wopping 18k on Starsider.

Everyone so far has missed the point i am making, the devs KNOW how much resources are needed, they know how much people sell them for, all they need to do is visit "master shipwrights" vendors.

here is something i wrote that you all missed....

=========

But why cant we have a terminal or NPC character at the starport SELLING ships?

fair priced as well!!!

==========

Im asking here, for NPC vendor ships, that can be available at FAIR prices, not RIP off prices, the players have a choice then, either pay whats in the NPC vendor, (say very basic 50% ham ships) for fair prices.

For example...

Headhunter = 20,000

Y-Wing = 200,000

X-Wing = 200,000

A-Wing = 350,000

B-Wing = 500,000

YT-1300 = 800,000 - 1,000,000

Then the player has the choice to buy an average ship or a Player crafted one that has better stats!

To win in PVP one must cheat, exploitz, hackz, and above all, have other pals that do the same. Once the foe is defeated, then go "OMGZZZ UZZZ SUCZ, LERN TO PLAY"

And so forth!

Dont forget you still have to pay the chasis broker NPCmoney for the ship... a lvl2 ship is 15k to turn the blueprint into a deed.

a lvl2 ship is 15k resources for the shipwright.

the price of resources has nothing to do with what it costs to harvest them, it has something to do with how much you can gather in the timeframe the spawn is active and how many people want those ores... currently thats alot of people since many are grinding SW.

But im taking the grind slowly, cant be bothered to pay the current price for grind quality resources.. chances are ill never make it back anyway.

Im on Kakuri, anyone who needs a ship are more than welcome to supply me with the ores needed (when i master) and ill make you a ship for free, hows that for a good deal? .. i doubt many will tho, because suddenly people will realise just how much trouble it is maneging all your harvs and finding appropriate spots,makeing sure its of the right quality ect. ect. ect.... 15million for a YT.. yes, overpriced... 15k .. waaaaaaay underpriced... 1million is probably about right, without having done the appropriate research into what and how much it takes.
