I seem to remember that Earth and Beyond allowed for some planets to be explored in ships. While in space the planets were just visuals but you could fly to a waypoint (the planets 'atmosphere) and "enter" the planet. It would be cool to see some of this as well as some of the "mining" like EandB had. As for added planets/races How about the Corporate Sector, Hutt space, or Kuat Drive Yards and Faleen, or...well I would say Chiss but they don't show until later.
Another possibility is the Happan Cluster. You'd have an opportunity to take on battle dragons and nova cruisers etc.
I would also love to see some new ships. Chiss Claw craft, E-wing, an alt YT (2400 etc).
Anyway, my personal favorite ideas would be to add the Corporate Sector and KDY. Think of the possibilities for commerce and ship building.

I miss Earth & Beyond... that game was awsome...
No. Nothing to do there until Empire Strikes Back.
No. Multi-layered environment.
Maybe
No.
We already have *two* heavily forested worlds. Why add a third? *Especially* considering that the Ithorians don't allow anyone on the planet's surface?
Borleias
Meh.
I'm sure that a planet of nothing but tunnels and caves, even civilized, would appeal to a large number of people. Not. Plus, as home of Soro-Suub, there's a very very very high imperial presence.
Dagobah
No. Yoda would be here at this time, and there's not even the *vaguest* excuse to put a starport on this planet.
No! Apart from being a multi-layered environment, it's the center of the Empire. The Imperial presence is immanent. (yes, that's right, immanent. Look it up.)
Might be interesting.
Maybe, but see Sullust. This *is* an Imperial prison planet.
No. Imperial presence is *far* too high.
No. opponents are WAY out of timeline.

-Added passenger ability for ground vehicles
-Usable Faction vehicles(atst, atat, tanks, etc) able to be used in battle areas with opertable guns/cannons.
-More Planets with sole purposes (pvp, factional wars, uncharted, quest, etc)
-More species to choose from at start
-EYEWEAR! [It's in the bazzar but there isn't any except the special collectors goggles!!]

/Agree As much as people would like an ice planet, this one just doesn't make any sense. Nothing to see here..move along, move along.
Bespin
No. Multi-layered environment.
Again I agree.
Ord Mantell
Maybe
I'd give this a yes.
Geonosis
Meh.
Might be cool but we already have the geo cave.
Bastion (Planet full of Imperials)
No.
Don't know much about it.
Ithor (due to race playing in game now)
We already have *two* heavily forested worlds. Why add a third? *Especially* considering that the Ithorians don't allow anyone on the planet's surface?
Agree
Duro
They don't have an official homeworld.
I thought Duro was their homeworld? From what I understand though, the planet is a wasteland and they live in floating cities. (from what I remember from the NJO book series). Not very intersting.
Borleias
Meh.
Falleen
No.
Sullust

Dagobah
No. Yoda would be here at this time, and there's not even the *vaguest* excuse to put a starport on this planet.
Big fat NO!!! If given the choice between this and Hoth, I'd rather see Hoth. Then again I don't want to see Hoth.
Coruscant(any part of it.)
No! Apart from being a multi-layered environment, it's the center of the Empire. The Imperial presence is immanent. (yes, that's right, immanent. Look it up.)
While I'm sure everyone would like to see this put in, the very nature of the planet is such that there is no explorable "wild life". Great for RP'ers but a waste of dev resources. Plus I doubt they'd even come close to doing it any justice.
Gamorr
Might be interesting.
Kessel
Maybe, but see Sullust. This *is* an Imperial prison planet.
For that matter so is Dathomir. I'd still like to see an instanced "spice mines of Kessel" themepark though.
Kuat
No. Imperial presence is *far* too high.
While I agree for the most part I think it would be a good choice.
Bakura
No. opponents are WAY out of timeline.
Fondor
?
Bothawui
Maybe.
/Sing Who let the dogs out??

Personally I'd love to see Nal Hutta/Nar Shaada (sp?). This would be great to see along with the smuggler revamp. Crime is abundant and this would definitely be a high level planet.
Right now we only have one Inner Rim/Core world in Corellia. A second one (Kuat, Hapes Consortium come to mind) would be nice to see.
Overall though, I think it would be better to put more resources into making the current worlds richer in content. Certain cities should be handled differently. By that I mean highly detailed with a larger sense of expanse. Coronet, Theed, one of the Tat cities come to mind. The Theed in SW Battlefront should be used as an example. It FEELS like a city. Put these cities on seperate servers (that you'd actually have to load into) and make them multi-layered. Add usable apartments with working turbolifts, etc.
All current planets should get major content additions with each having it's own unique feel. Both low and high level areas should be included on all planets. Currently there are only a few places to go to for high level content and most of those places are heavily camped (Dathomir and certain caves/pois like the geo cave, Lord Nyax, krayt graveyard).
I'd gladly pass on new planets if it meant giving space richer content like boarding parties on capitol ships, player explorable space stations, POI's with story driven content, etc.
While there's no doubt SOE will want to release another expansion, they should be working harder at fixing whats already in place. This is just my guess, but I wouldn't expect another expansion to hit until well after the CU/GCW/smuggler/et al revamps.
So negative
