Would he have Fire Knockdown if he just got to Novice BH?

No, Fire knockdown is a 3rd tier BH carbine skill, he would have underhand though which works pretty well.

actually he would have underhand. By the time you get the 40k combat xp, you should already have enough points to train both carbine 1 and pistol 1. So yes he should have access to underhand as soon as he hit novice.

Methos is absolutly correct. 400,000 weapon xp = 40,000 combat xp. If you were smart you should have split 200k pistol xp and 200k carbine xp which should have been the xp cap for master marksman. Unless you decided to take something in a carbineer or pistoleer tree...

Actionshot knocks down, too. A novice can get out unscathed, too.

Still need medic for the HAM costs.

I do not have KD yet. I did plan to have them both once I hit Novice but my carb wore out and ever dang weapon shop I visit is sold out so I have not been able to advance in the skill for days now. I am over half way through it however so it should not take to long once I get a new weapon. I am taking it that this underhand shot dose not get resisted much cause no commits were made about me being resisted 70 percent of the time.

What is Actionshot? What skill tree gets you this?

Thanks :-)

Carbine4 of the marksmen tree gives you actionshot1, although I've never seen it knock down. Actionshot2 of the carbineer tree lowers posture but then again doesn't knock down.

Combat XP is calculated at about 10% of weapon XP.

Hence 40,000 combat XP = about 400,000 weapon XP.

When I made Novice BH I had over 400,000 carbine XP and was able to take Carbine I and Carbine II.

Therefore all Novice BH's should be able to get at least Carbine I depending on what weapon they used...

how did you have 400k carbine xp when it maxes out at 200k when you are trying to get the40k combat. Did you have carbineer trained?

Didn't have a droid, pet, or any medic skills when I first hit BH and was able to kite the hell out of my 10k HAM mark. Trust me... by the time you get 3-4 carb/pistol boxes the marks are a little easy to kill... at Investigations0 level at least.

Okay I finally did it! (Nope not archy yet :/) I finally completed Eng. IV! What I did was Imade alot of furniture crafting stations for like 90 exp. Which was about the best I was getting, anyway, is there anything in eng. IV that I should make that gives alot of exp? Or should i stick with the crafting stations? Thanks for any help
