sort of.... depends on the situation, and what you use.... space bombs are good damage, but there slow and not very many to a missle pack. mark 4 protons are decent damage, and have a good number to a pack.

It's the launcher, not the missiles, which has the reacquisition time, I believe. Should be refire rate, just like blasters. From a master shipwright/master pilot perspective, I go with Mk3 Protons... best bang for the buck. The others are too resources intensive for the small gains you get. The only exception is the Mk2 space bombs, which rock for helping someone else kill a corvette.

So Proton is GP

Concussion is anti-shield

Sesmic is anti-armour [note why do you say this is usefull against the vette? can you bypass its shields ?]

Spacebomb is big [ie high dammage butfew missiles per pack] - though Nogix dosent say I'm assuming its a GP blast like Proton.

Immage -rec , GP dammage , but I assume its meant to ignore chaff, requiring the higher end countermeasures.

Missiles are not something I have used much and I can't find a simple guide.
I am a level 3332 Imperial Pilot flying with Storm Squadron and I would like to know a couple of things please:
1. Missiles seem to come in crates, how do I know what I am certified for? I am guessing I start with the level of the launcher - is this right? Is there an easy way - i.e all level IV missiles are like level 9 equipement etc?
2. What different kinds are the and what are they good for - to name a few I have seen concussion, ion, space bombs, proton etc.
Thanks
Sasee

I have been strugglign a little at killing NPC's. So I got a missile launcher and a ton of missiles. Loaded the Missile Launcher then started loading the missiles.

I got messages repeatedly saying that I have loaded 10 missiles etc. Problem was when I jumped out and used the, I only had one pack in my launcher and I can't find the other packs in my inventory or anywhere.

Is this a bug and did I just loss a butt load of missiles and credits?
