Yeha, that game rocks.

JTLS just has no fast paced action, especially near a SBD!?

Come on...no squadrons of Ties near an SBD? What's up with that spawn rate?

You remember how popular Pac Man was SOE?

Could you imagine if you had to wait for the dots to spawn?

JTLS=Pac Man w/ no dots!

Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've
seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me
believe there's one all-powerful force controlling everything. There's
no mystical energy field that controls my destiny.

Note: THis URL is 404 for whatever reason. This one works, and its clickly:

http://www.theforce.net/games/apps/boendor/

Notice the slight change of droping the index.shtml from the url.

Ok, neither of these work.

One is 404, one is "page not found"

Could you post some basic information like oh I dunno .... the name of the game.

I'll change the main post with updated info-thanks for the heads up and yes...the names would be nice

i made it up to Stage 6 Super Star Destroyer, it was really hard to get behind it though, couldn't get away from the guns.

Yeah, jtl would be cool if it were like that. I think the 3 factors that make it more starwarsy over jtl are:

1. scale. The battle is huge! That would be awesome to see swarms of TIES like that in JTL.
2. Music. The flowing music really adds to the experience.
3. Death and damage. Ties are much easier to kill like they should be, and when you die...you respawn right at the action! Wow! I always thought in games you had to pay 20k credits and fly for 5 hours back to where you were...

Yeah, as Liamo pointed out, textured models CAN be added to those games. They use the .x file format, which can be done in milkshape. I believe all you would need to do is make higher poly textured models, export them as .x files, rename them to the ones in the folder all of the models are placed in, then replace the ones in that folder with the new ones. Then you *should* have textured models. Then again, I've never tried it, so there may be some programming issues...

Regardless of the level of detail on the models, this game was FUN. In the end, thats all the really counts in my book. Nice find.

What old school games are all about - tons of fun with a bit of graphics thrown in.
