Ummm, bumping this by just doing what your doing is against the forum rules and Tiggs and others have warned people for doing it. You can face getting suspended on the forums for it.
As for the question of being able to use Starship experience to convert to FS experience. The answer is no you cannot use it for that purpose.

Why not? It should be able to convert! It is xp as all other.....
And it is harder gained as on ground, because youself had to steer....no macro-grinding at all.....

Converting starship xp/prestige into FS xp probably won't happen for the following reasons:
1) Pilot doesn't take any skill points, thus making it a "non-profession profession." Anyone can be a pilot (provided they pony up the cash to buy the expansion), so being able to convert said xp would essentially make everyone able to DRAMATICALLY speed up their FS grinds, creating an imbalance that would have to be worked out immediately vs. gradually down the road.
2) It's insultingly EASY to get starship/prestige xp. When a single T5 ship can give you 6-9000xp (19k+ in the cases of gunboats and capital ship targets), you're NOT going to get a 3:1 ratio. Try 500 or 1000:1, most likely. I mean, you can make a million xp on destroy duty missions in a little over an hour (or at least *I* could). The most you could hope for is the same conversion ratio as Squad Leader xp.
3) It's "free," not counting when you have to swap out for a new chassis when you die too often. Grinding the old fashioned way costs you armor and weapon condition, or millions in resources. The Devs are trying to cut back dramatically on what you get "for free" in this game.
4) The Devs have tried to separate JTL from the ground game as much as possible. Adding this would give the "Jedi should have special skills in space" people a leg up to start campaigning again. The rallying cry would be: "If you can convert JTL xp to FS xp, then there's no reason that Jedi and FS people shouldn't have special starship skills!"
Don't open that door.

I don't see whythere would bea problem with allowing to convert prestige xp into FS combat or reflex xp...the fastest i can grind prestige xp is about 1 million per 1h30so with a 30:1 conversion rate it would give around 20k FS xp per hour...that's still a way slower than grinding combat xp using grenades ( 300k combat xp per hour at 3:1 makes 100K FS xp per hour : 5 times faster...just more boring).
And FS xp grinding has nothing to do with Jedi skills, i really don't see the point of those who say it would open the door for those who say "jedi should have in space special skills".

Well... 2 little things...
1) It's really easy to get weapon/combat xp, I'm TKM and with only a VK i can grind like mad... No need for armor, so basically costs me a VK to grind a full branch (and even less, it's my second VK and I got 3 million FS xp)... The fact it doesn't take skillpoints doesn't change anything, after all if you grind to become jedi you blow up your template in the end...
2) Jedi still won't have any advantage in space... I agree that it would be 100% unfair to give jedi any advantage in space, not even the jedi starfighter because at that time they are all gone into space dust... If you react like that it means YOU would ask for special skills if you were jedi...
I'm not master pilot yet, so i dunno how much do high-end ships give, but i'd say somethingbetween 10:1 and 30:1 ratio would fit... A master of any combat prof can kill a 5k weapon/50 combat xp mob in 10 seconds if they stop to drink a coffee... So that's 333 FS xp... 200 of them and you got 60K...

We'd need an xp scale for different tiers to try a proper ratio...
Let me start
Tier 1 : 100
Tier 2 : 400
Tier 3 : 1000
Yeah i still have a long long way to go

I asked this in the Force Sensitive forum the other day, specificly because I'd rather grind Space Combat XP for nine hours than ground Combat XP for one. Personally, I'd like to see this, and it could always be made to work by simply adjusting the ratio (such as Squad Leader's absurdly high 90:1 conversion ratio. . . for reasons which still baffle me). That being said, the folks over at the FS forum said that it wouldn't work, though I have not tried it myself yet. I am still working on my Content Badges.

I can understand why people would want this but in all honesty there are enough ways of gettingFS xp.

Ratio can always be tuned regarding how much xp master pilots can make... Yeah, I won't prolly be able to grind well before master, as in all other profs in fact (well, MOST profs), but i accept that...
On top of that it doesn't require a lot of work from the devs, since the code's already in for all other type of xp
For the people who say that there are already enough way to get FS xp, well... tbh i think there should be even more, the amount of FS xp you need to unlock 1 branch is there to proof your dedication and work, not just to be boring... More ways to get that xp means more fun, and I think I'll make it slower if that "grind" is in space, coz space is funny, but grinding in the ground game is boring as hell...
(for SL 90:1 ratio, i think it's good as is, only it should require a 90 million xp cap, you can have these 900k in about 10 minutes with a good group... Just need to be in a good place, like squill cave before the spawn nerf
In a small group (12-13) it took me less than 20 minutes to cap the 900k sl xp...)

I agree, the ground grind can be extremely dull and tedious, while space while stilla grind, can continually test you. You could almost go to sleep and ground grind but you do have to stay on your toes a little in space. Being able to convert space combat(presteige) xp to Force xp would make the SWG gaming experience just a little bit bettter. Also strickly speaking from a business standpoint (the moneymakers are deffinately gonna love this one...) How many more people would buy the expansion if it was known you could Force grind and just maybey force grind a little faster than on the ground? Just a little suggestive tidbit to let your mind chew on....
