Doesn't Reactor Overload 4 and Engine Overload 4 damage your components? I also noticed that Weapon Overload 4 causes engine overload to cancel (on my A-Wing) and isn't active for very long. Is this normal?

Thanks!

All the overload commands damages your components to some degree.

Really?

I haven't seen any performance or hit-point/armor degradation on my gun or engine and I run with Weapon Overload 3 and Engine Overload 3 all the time.

Armor on the componentgets about 10 points of damage from overload 3, if I remember correctly.

It's a permanent stat decrease? I've never had the option to repair the ship come up after my raids into Kessel.

If the stat decrease is permanent...what happens when it hits zero? I'd sure hate to lose my reward engine or my (relatively) low mass level 8 gun...

Thanks!

No, it's just normal damage. However, for every 10 points of damage you repair, 1 point is permanently lost.

So it will eventually get to the point that the armor value will reach zero. Will that disable the engine or weapon if you try to overload it when it only has an armor value of 1 from decay?

No idea, never had a component decay that far yet.

I've gotten an engine to 0/0 armor...the speed and other stats stayed the same...the only thing that decays is the armor/hitpoints.
