It is unfortunate for george lucas that he had sony make his space game online, personally I think that 5 first graders could have done a better job then sony has, I enjoyed the ground game then they screwed that all up, then I gave you another chance with the JTL expansion and EQ2, 85% of all space missions are so bugged it is unbelievable that they could even release it, but to continue making new MONEY MAKERS (expansions) instead of fixing the current game content just goes to show hownon caring about your customer base you are and how purely interested in greed you are, I myself have suffered thru EQ, then EQ2 and SWG and then JTL which I thoroughly was enjoying, made it all the way to teir4 last box but when you send a killer mission at me that you either have to group with to finish (if it does indeed have an ending) or die trying to complete solo because the game is so bad no one is playing it anymore so grouping is not really an option, after the 10th wave of teir 4 and 5 fighters I say to you Have a nice day, I am done dealing with Sony, I am done dealing with Smedley who in my opinion totally ruined the entire game from the first day he took over inEQ, I have put up with nerfs and BS for many years from a company who really has no concern whatsoever except the all mighty dollar and you have finally managed to make me mad enough to be done with you, good luck all in dealing with this BS company, I will be submitting a letter tothe skywalker ranch just in casehe might be concerned that such a crap company is running his game into the ground good day to you all.

If you are going to write a letter to George Lucas, I suggest you firstcontact the same 5 first graders you mentioned in the first sentence, and have them add puntuation, structure, and sense to your letter before you send it. I think George would appreciate that.

Seriously JTL is the only new content ive 'really' enjoyed since i started over a year ago. Its the least buggy bit of the game aswell imo, and has quite a lot of depth to it. Its not like kashyyykk when you do some quests and forget about it a week later.

But....everyones entitled to their own oppinion; i can say im somewhat biased towards space sims, right now im impatiently waiting for X3 reunion to come out .

I feel sorry for George Lucas too. I hope he has enough clean $1000 bills to dry his tears off.

George Lucas has nothing to do with this game. He had *indirect* input into some features of the base game, such as... don't let players make purple wookies... and that is the extent of his contact with the game.

He is in no danger of not being able to put food on his diamond encrusted gold plated table, and neither is SOE.

So cancel your subscription and get off of our forums.

Not sure if this is actually true or not, butI haveread this in a few different places. But from what I read,George Lucas originally wanted SWG to be a pve game with just rebs and neutrals playable. Sort ofan online version of the old Star Wars pen and pencil roleplaying game, and supposedly SOE talked Lucas Arts into adding playble Imperials and PVP.

Like I said,I don't really know if this is true or not.

Probably not... historically George Lucas likes to take an enourmous dump on the EU... which SWG is part of.

He doesn't care about it... most of the content in the books and other EU canon is handled for accuracy by a team of fact-checkers that makes sure nothing outrageous is said or happens to throw off the story line

Little off topic but JTL is basically best (debatable) parts of X-wing/Wing Commader/Privateer -series bundled into one game. I really like it though I hope space areas would be bigger.

This game was done well... I hate to admit that.

Why? Because it could be better then it is. Problem is that we dont have people running this game that are TRUE starwars fans.

They started a convention and are paying 100 bucks to players so that they can give ideas to the next expansions. Has anyone read this crap?

Why?

All you need do is look at this forum and read what the players are looking for. Here are a couple of ideas...

1 Criminal Faction

2 A galactic Civl War expansion including new goals and a more interactive way to fight the war... Maybe a PVP planet included as well. Some say HOTH. I agree. Put some hard to find minerals there, tauntauns, Caves, and the largest PVP bases out there! Make it a mini game.

3 Bespin...

4 Capital ships

More space more planets more ships more races.

5 More story Arcs. What happened to this idea? The story Arcs that had everyone running around. REBELs still get a bonus becasue they won the story arcs but no other story Arcs were done.

6 Moving the time lines...

There are more ideas out there too.... Just browse the pages and you will see lots of stuff.

This game has the potential to still be the Best online MMORPG but it needs to be directed by someone who is into star wars and is really dedicated to bringing about story ARCs, battles we are so familiar with and content that we can relate to and most of all move the story forward.

Sitting in one time line just suxs to high heaven... We really need to move forward.....

yeah i seriously think that the Devs and the CSRs dont even own a copy of this game. its a vicious cycle of abuse!!

I guess it's a matter of opinion. I think JTL is REALLY well done. It's fun, interesting, fast paced, and overall a blast to play. I find myself in space more then on the ground.

Just finished my 4th squad and about to start my 5th. JTL FTW!

I got JTL the day it came out, and I haven't mastered pilot yet. However, I have done 1 mission thirty-seven times. STORM SQUADRON AND FUN QUEST ORIENTED LEVELING FOR THE **Mod Bot - Be Nice**ING WIN....oh wait...that's why I don't like space.

No mission is *THAT* hard. Not even a Storm Squad escort-of-death mission. I take it you tried it all 37 times by yourself? >_>

The game isn't perfect but no game is. /shrug, I love JTLS and especially for the majority of the pilot community on starsider.
