True, but our current space loot system is a bigger code snafu than anything even Microsoft could put out ... as a Beta! I've lotted Tech 8 items from Tier 1 ships, and downed scores of Tier 3 and 4 ships while finding nothing better than Tech 2 items for my efforts.


Needless to say, when it comes to making money, I just go out and slaughter hordes of Tier 1 ships, now. Sure, their credit drop is less but the salvage is better - if you're flying a Tier 3 or better ship, then a Tier 1 usually dies in one shot, letting you rack up far more kills in less time and thus generating many times more loot drops. At 1,000cr x Tech Level x # of items, you can see how you can actually make more money overall by preying on larger hordes of weaker ships. I've found the "Commerce Raiders" over Tatooine in their measly Tier 1 Z95 Hunterhunters good for this, because they respawn literally as fast as you can kill them.

If I wanta lev 8 drop I just fight my own pirate trap 1.

I looted mine the second day they were in live. The tier 4 spawn at Red Sin Chimera in Endor sector droped it. I've intigrated it into my BH armor

YES! ill warn ya though, every time i equip mine, ill get at least one: "lol" and the ocasional "rofl"
