Try hunting with a group of people. If you all sit in camp for ~5 minutes and do some healing, you will cap on experience in a very short amount of time.

I think the pet asking to play relates to the trick skills under empathy. Can anyone confirm that? I'm not 100% sure.

play = he/she needs a trick to do. It helps with the mind wounds it may or may not have

Quick question here... may be a stupid one.

I notice when I'm beating on some mob that occasionally I'll see the words "miss", "counter-attack" and "dodge" above their heads. I'm gonna assume that this means I've either missed hitting the mob, the mob is counter-attacking or the mob is dodging me.

How come I never see these words above my head? Do the mobs never miss hitting me? Do I never counter-attack, do I ever dodge? Sure seems like I don't... =P

Yup. It just doesnt let you know when an enemy misses.

You don't see the words because Teras Kasi artists receive no passive defenses like Block, Dodge, or Counterattack. Therefore it's very rare that they ever work.

I think each of the four unarmed classes rely on a specific defense mechanism. Swordsman, Fencers and Pikemen gain a greater abliity to block, dodge, and counterattack (respectively I think) as they ascend the skill tree in their professions. TKA's gain unarmed toughness, which basically works out as to we take less damage from every shot, instead of no damage from a few. What defense mechanism is most effective? I have no idea.

The other professions also gain toughness (1h, 2h, and polearm toughness respectively). I don't believe they get quite as much as TK, but it is still there.

Actually, Istice...

Armed brawlers do get toughness skill modifiers. They also gain skill modifiers to the passive defensive techniques. If I remember correctly, Fencers get + to dodge, Pikemen get + to block, Swordsmen get + to counterattack. I'm curious, though. Does a counterattack mean that you get an extra hit in? If that is true, then not only do Swordsmen have far superior weapons compared to other brawlers, but they also get extra attacks every now and then.

Elite marksman professions also get those type of skill bonuses. Rifleman gets + to block, Carbineer gets + to counterattack, Pistoleer gets + to dodge. Unfortunately, the pool attacks that they get do not coincide with the defensive bonuses that their brawler counter parts get. Therefore, although a Pikeman/Carbineer has ranged and melee leg shot, he will have small bonuses to block and counterattack.

I believe Combat Equillibrium is supposed to be the Teras Kasi Artist equivalent to block, dodge, and counterattack bonuses that armed brawlers get. I, however, do not see the use. Yet another field that makes us inferior to armed brawlers. At least we have our uber leet wound healage from meditate, although that will probably be the next thing on the nerf list.

I was wondering what would be the best in the long run, going master bounty hunter and putting the rest into medic or something such as pistoleer, or just concentrate on the bounty pistol tree and master pistoleer. Do skill mods have a cap?

Does the Healing range bonus for combat medic only work when using ranged stimpacks, or for any pack?

That I've noticed, only when using ranged packs.
