No.... it's not messed up. It's not very "authentic" but it's not messed up. Imagine this... You are a newb to SWG JTL and you don't have hours a day to play because you have school/job or something like that. You go PvP and someone who does have all that time comes and starts ramming your ship. Because they have more time to play and make money lets them take advantage over those who don't.

Also... This would prevent people from stockpiling real cheap ships and just going around ramming the high end ships with the big upgrades.
