Ordered from gamestop yesterday(8pm) , one day shipping. Status is shipped

Probably are near the end of the distrobution chain. I've had a few stores like this too. So that they are getting them in late in the day tomorrow but they have to unpack them, do inventory, etc. So they say they will be out on the 28th since thats when they know they'll have time to make sure they are ready to sell what they get in. They might have them ready by late tomorrow afternoon though.

ppl are stupid, they forget SOE is based in the USA, and USA products ALWAYS get released later in UK than USA. if they want it the same time as us then they can
1. move to the USA and be happy
or
2. have a friend in the USA, preorder it with 1 day delivery and then have him send it to them in 1 day.
or
3. (my fav option) lets all move to Canada!

The whole UK thing is sadly pretty typical for games. And yeah, it stinks for Europeans. Then general rule is games migrate in an easternly direction 
So if the game first comes out in Japan, the US gets it a few months later, then Europe a few months after that. Australia and NZ, as is their wont, follow their own rules and get it when they are darn well ready for it

My thread just got deleted, explaining to people how get the beta installer (flash speeder bonus) if the online pre-order ran out. Just go down to the local store (i.e. GameStop, EBGames) and get one for free like I did. Why did they delete that helpful post?

Not true... depends on whether or not the game is street dated. If it's not street dated, a store can sell it as soon as they get it... even prior to the posted ship date (useless in this case, where it depends on the content being in place). However,a street date means any retailer selling before that date is subject to a possiblefine and can possibly cause the the loss of all product exclusives for that district, multible offences can screw the region or even all the way up corporate. That's why EBGames in my district will not be getting any special treatment from Warner Brothers when the next LotR extended comes out... one of my fellow retail slaves broke street on the RotK DVDs.

I went to EB games and gamestop today, both told me they wouldnt get shipments in till tomorrow.. Im sad, so so sad...

Could it be that the pre-order packs are marked field destroy and that can get someone potentially repremanded or even fired if they do it? Or perhaps that the product was designed for people who... I dunno... actually put in the miniscule amount of effort it takes to make a trip the the same store and drop 5 bucks (in the case of EB) towards the cost of the game? Or mayhaps just all of the above?

I think what happened is Sony or Lucas (who knows) "aimed" for 26th and told everyone 27th to insure that the store would infact have it. At least by the end of the day. I live in SF bay area so we probably get shipments faster. Anyways the game is up and running. The devs where ready for the 26th and they came through, it works well.
