Well my friend, what previous posters have said, that screen is commonly referred to the blue screen of death. There is absolutely NO WAY past it but rebooting, usually mine automatically restarts after a few seconds on that screen, sometimes I must manually hit the reset button.
My specs:
3.2GHz P4 (1mb L2 cache)
1gb ddr pc3200 dual channel RAM
ATI x800 XT platinum edition graphics card
creative audigy 2 zs gamer edition w/ EAX 3.0
creative gigaworks 7.1 speakers
breaks my heart to get blue screened on my precious

You get the blue screen on that? Wow! I haven't gotten it since I dumped Pentium chips. Maybe it's a Pentium curse. :-D

I don't get it doing any normal tasks.

If i dual log accounts on this computer (+ backround programs) with sound on on both, I usually get a blue screen within 10-15 minutes.

If I turn sound off on one account, usually the chance of it happening is much less (does happen though).

Then again, you aren't supposed to, or recommended to dual log on one comp since multiple instances causes blue screens.

drivers are free to download, check ATI's support area but uslaly they have a drivers button on the top. If you know your card and OS, the process should be simple

I highly doubt you even can play on a rage card... (even if you were, you'd quit cuz of crappy performance), if you honestly don't know, chances are you have a radeon

Download the radeon drivers. to find out what card you have would take a while and odds are it's a radeon.
