Dood, hyperspace to a point close to it. If you have the starter ship, then it's only going to be a short while until you can hyper fairly close to it. In fact, as soon as you have enough loot to make a ship, do it, then you'll have hyperdrive.

My question is though, why can we travel instantly to Lok from Corellia (which we couldn't do with shuttles) and yet we can't travel to Talus (which you CAN do with the shuttles). I guess I just don't understand.

When I hit the travel button on corellia, it doesn't say I can travel to lok, or if I'm on lok, I can't travel to endor, corellia, dathomir, yavin 4, talus, or dantooine. So we have to hop shuttles STILL?
I was hoping to be able to instantly go from say, dathomir to lok, that would make bounty hunting alot more fun.

Oh good I hope your right.
I do seem to remember a post by one of the devs that mentioned this was a bug during beta.
I hope they get time to fix it sooner then later too.

The devs did say it was a bug, I just hope it is a bug that gets fixed this year.

Interesting. I'll have to see when I install tonight. But, on beta, there were 4 planets you could travel to, and they were Lok, Tatooine, Corellia, and Naboo, and you could go to any starport from or to any of those locations.
That's not the case now?
