They seem to be "restocking" now. Anybody know when they'll have new stock?

Hmm... Im wondering if it's legal at all...Why the hell would SOE let you download the expansion via launcher if they didnt want to?Anyways i think everybody knows by now that the current CDs from MMORPG are worth less, you pay the full price for the key in reality. You can have the cd,but you cant play. Get my pointThe data alone is worth nothing, thats why theyre sending the expansion vie launchpadIs osCommerce legal? I don't wanna be banned from SWG from buying from a dodgy siteAs many pointed theres lots of post giving links to places where you can get the CD-key and theyre still there. Now take DLgamer for an example and compare it to EB just for fun.You buy your game from EB,they send you the actual box. You get it someday after release date. You get a CD,a CD-Key and a manual. 2 outta 3 things in that box can be caught online. Most games have a pdf version of the manual now free for download. The only difference with DLgamer is instead of sending you the box, they send you the key.I really dont know how it is any different really.Message Edited by DarkCobra on 10-31-2004 06:03 AM
Wow wow, easy man... No one is trying to offend you.
SOE let's you download because yu registered the expansion then launchpad checks the control summ for files and lets you download missing files... Everything as programmed.
Why I am not sure about that company is:
- they are not even .com (.net is sometimes cheaper), any company can afford having .com domain
- they actually open the boxes - that's why I am not sure if it's secure...
- if SOE would support such business model you would be able to buy CD key via same EB...
Of course it's everyones choice from who to buy... Just want to know if someone has more experience/knowledge about this...

Have any of you asked these companies what they are doing with the boxes/software once you have your key? Just curious to what the response was?

nodsdorf.net/cdkeys does also have the option to ship the box, if you choose to have it shipped for the extra cost, when you buy the key they keep the box for 30 days incase you decide you want it shipped, after 30 days the cd/box is destroyed

Monks: maybe these companies only purchase some keys from SOE.
But from what DLGamer.com and the SOE Customer Service told me when I asked is that you NEED a CD to be able to enable JtL. In that case, buying the key alone is useful only when you already have a CD, for example when you want to enable the expansion for a second account.
I have not been able to check it yet, maybe someone who has purchased the CD and not installed yet (and was not in beta, since having beta files may corrupt the experimentation) could try it, by entering his key without installing the expansion from the CD.

i downloaded corecombat with no CD (this is a SOE expansion for planetside) i paid the 29.95 on SOEs store, they flagged my account as "purchased CC" and then the launchpad downloaded the files.
This is similar for JTL i think .you buy the CDKEY from somewhere, flag ur account as "purchased JTL" then the launchpad will download the files.
im not gonna buy from this guy tho cuz hes charging 38$... theres another US site charging the SRP (29.95)

Honestly i dont think this is an issue to SOE. If it was they would of locked/deleted this thread by now.
As for legitemacy, I also think this is ok. This has been done with others games in the past. Most notebly is half life/CS, and in the future Guild Wars.
Think how aweesome it would be to buy cd keys for any game then register the key. No more coasters and wasted packaging materials filling out landfills.
Nice to know.... Anyway I've bookmarked this site for future use...

just bought a CD-key from http://nodsdorf.net/cdkeys
the keys are 100% genunine.
i am living in the UK with JTL enabled thanks to this website.
After seeing this thread a few minutes after it was posted, I went to the link and bought a cd key. About an hour later I got it in my email and it works fine. JTL downloaded what was needed (already had beta files on), and I've been able to play with no problems. I was looking for this thread again to thank you but couldnt find it.
Anyway now I've found it, thanks man. I can play ![]()
Don't know why you got 1 starred either, your only trying to help people, and what you say is true.
