Atmospheric flight is a little much to expect. I would be happy if, instead of hitting the Launch button at the starship terminal, you go out to where the landing area is, and "call" your ship. It appears, and you climb into it. When you launch, you see the animation of it lifting off from the starport before you go to the loading screen for space. Others on the ground in the city should be able to see your ship taking off, too.

they should make landin on the ground anywhere you wish with ACE and make it so you cant land 1-2k within city limits without landing permissions granted by the closest citys mayor or somthing or make them pay a landing fee... and make it soo people can board your yacht and yt hehe...... to stop it been abused you could have a maximum of 10 ships in each section of airspace....
id love to be able to land my yacht in the middle of a city and start selling stuff ![]()
Yeah....just like they got around to a smuggler revamp...or a pilotable capitol ship...

The engine for JTL, and the engine for the ground game cannot merge. They are totally different. Unless there is a hugemodification to the engine, atmorspheric flight will be limited to snow/landspeeders on par with the behavior of the jetpack.
The ground engine does not support flight. Even the jetpack is technically just running your along the ground, your character is just rendered up in the air.

havent your seen the shuttles land in starports????
same thing non pilotable just models landing and when they hit the ground become a structure we dont want to fly about in the planet just land anywhere on it xD
Well why not add soe kind of -huge- asteroid field system to the game? Have a main asteroid body which can be landed on and is like a player city with glass domes etc. It'd be like a huge POB ship only non-pilotable and people would be able to do quests etc from it but from looking up out of the glass domes, see people flying around.
I mentioned this ages ago and I think it'd be real fun. Have the asteroid system set up so there are like sub 'roids where players can shuttle to to take really hard missions etc or explore. The system's theme could be 'Starfighter Duel 6000'
where they attract the greatest pilots from aroudn the galaxy to take part in events which get them money...
Ok I'm dreaming now, but they could also fashion it into an obstacle course. There'd be a system which'd work like going overt (I.E Optional) where when you take the main challenge, you get collision damage and the aim was to beat your rivals to the end of the course without getting shot down or smashed to pieces.
This way it'd mean the ground game wouldn't have to change and neither would the most part of space, just like Kashykk, it could be pictured as that system only with a HUGE more frindly Avatar platform. No FPS killing nebulae either

I knwo it won't ever happen but I think that'd be cool. A cool place for the Rebellion to act covertly, for the Empire to struggle to control and an area where Smugglers are in their element.
