Well I got my up close an personal veiw of freedom station anyways.
Sweet cash loot too, 374k. Made it worth the 8 deaths and 9 attack runs.

The devs stopped players being able to take the yacht into deeps space or kessel somewhere near the end of beat (IIRC). I don't think they gave a reason at the time but I'd guess where was some kind of exploit or bug...

The yacht could be abused as 'shield' for combat enabled ships to hide behind when attacking the corvette in kessel or the isd/space station in Deep Space, that's probably the reason why access to those sectors via the yacht was disabled (I know that potential exists for other sectors too but it's easier to disable the access to the sectors where it actually matters 
)

The yacht is a god mode ship, meaning, it can be attacked, but not damaged, thus it can be used as a shield to block enemy fire. Hence, to avoid this kind of misuse, they prevent the sorosuub from entering a PvP- and Highlevel-Combatzone for this obvious reason.

The ability to take the yacht to deep space and kessel was removed in late beta. Not sure why, probably to prevent exploiting. I have some screen shots of my beta toon looking at the black holes from the top deck of my yacht though
