I personally think the Dugs(sp? Saboba episode 1) Would make a cool species to play. Every race avalible now has human form. The Ithorans are kinda cool, but they still walk and run like evry other playable race. Dugs walk on there hands and use there feet like hands, would definatly make an unusual species to play.

Ive only seen like about 3 of them, but no one really wants to reroll. If characters could change species at an image designer, that would be sweet. I mean, seriously, how far are we in the future? Youd think gender changes would exist.

Technically, we're in the past. ![]()
Anyway, I see why SOE would not want people to change the race on already existing characters. Too many people would migrate to the species with the (percieved) best bonuses.

i think the reason for this is because they didnt come with any knew "content" but the iths got there own armor/clothing, and i believe the sullustans didnt get any.

i think i saw one on corbantis when running through the spaceport on coronet. it is rather an ugly race to play with and could you imagine a female sull, bikini, dancing. i think a cool race to add to the game are the nautolans (kit fisto). similar to twileks but tougher looking with all those tentacles.

I have to think that they did make the wrong decision making Sullustans the second race, as they are probably the worst race you could pick from.

I think they wanted the new species to fit the expansion. Both Sullastans and Ithorians have a rich history in space travel and development.

As others have said, no one wants to re-roll their characters or make a fresh start on another server. Even fewer people want to spendmoney on a second account. People grow attached to their established character(s), and their circle of friends and acquaintances. If they make it possible (and feasible) for people to have a second character on a server, you'd probably see a lot more of the new races.
Maybe they could make this another veteran reward. If you've played for six (or however many)consecutive months, you get a second character slot. Or something.

or rather the ability to change your species once if you been in the game long enough would rather say 1 year than 6 months

Can you tell the difference between a sullastan and any other humanoid race in composite/ubese armors?

Haha that's a great point.
But seriously, though, I haven't met a new player on Star Wars Galaxies in months. Everyone that I meet nowadays has just created a new char on my server but has been playing the game for > 6 months. Where are all of the new people?
I don't understand people sometimes, either. When I ask how long they've been playing SWG, they reply "3 days." Then they tell me that they've had SWG for 6 months and they just started a new character. *confused*
