Storm squadron does. Hell, on just one of the escort legs, it takes a half-hour before the thing even hypers out. Then, there's more escorts after that!

Storm squadron is the most difficult pilot tree in JTL, I'm convinced now. After helping pilot after pilot out of tree after tree, and reading here, it's obvious to me.

Also, don't pay attention to any snide remarks from ones who obviously are not married.

there's a vortex squadron mission for rebels that you have to rescue 2 frieghters, get them up and running, then escort them (while fighting of waves of tie fighters).....it takes them nearly 15 - 20 minutes to get across the darn system (in that time do you know how much damage they take...difficult to protect them when your solo like I was....but who's gonna do duty missions with you).....I got tired of doing it so, I just hypered out and left an incomplete mission....went and did another mission instead.....now this was a duty mission but it was so darn long just to do it once, I can't imagine doing it over and over again....I'm sure it's comparable to the storm squadron one from the way people in the forums is describing it....the only difference is that for rebels it's a duty mission that we choose to take or not.....for imps, you have no choice.....sucks! it really does.

I've been stuck at at my tier 3 missions for over 2 weeks. Right now I am logging on and not even doing them because the last time I tried I failed horribly and I don't see how this will change unless I can convince some people to spend hours helping me.

I have failed the Imperial Tier 3 mission for Storm Squadron 5 times already and I am getting really fustrated. I don't mind having to travel to the Endor system. I don't mind having to fight wave after wave of fighters superior to my Tier 2 ship. I don't even mind having to form a group of elite players to get the mission done.

What I do mind is that the mission takes too damn long. It takes almost two hours of playing to complete without breaks!

The last time I failed I got into an argument with my husband because I kept telling him I would let him use the computer after I finished my mission. I could not convince him that a single mission would take that long.

Please Devs! Fix this mission by adding a few breaks thoughout it where we can land on the ground/repair/and even log and complete it later. (Please! My marriage depends on it!)

I suggest you bring friends.. if you cant solo it its time for help

I'm in the same boat. Last night, I was trying to do my first Tier3 Storm Squad mission. Another fellow Imp was at the same point. We both got our missions, grouped up, and flew to Endor. There were two shuttles at the exact same WP, with two sets of rebs, waiting for us. Needless to say we didn't last long.

Sheesh. If we're grouped up and on the exact same mission, why can't we complete it together.

Jadza i feel your pain i had to do this quest also and it took me about 8 trys to finish it.

My best advice is have a few good friends with you and not people who are there for the loot.

Also hyperspace out if you get close to getting killed...As long as you hyper into the same sector you wont fail the quest i had to do it a few times to go get repairs.

If you play on bloodfin i'd be happy to help assist you with this quest.

What about allowing your husband to have a girlfriend? You know, someone he can do stuff with while you're playing SWG? Wouldn't that be the fairest arrangement?

Totally kidding.

To be honest if it's causing that many problems for you, I'd drop Storm Squadron and start over again as a Black Epsilon. The missions are a LOT shorter except for Tier 3 mission 3/4, but then they are just the same length as a kind of long Storm Squadron mission, they just tend to have the difficulty turned up a bit. Plus, you get to land right next to your trainer for EVERY one of them.

I have some limited experience doing some of the harder Imperial Inquisition and all I can say is that they seemed pretty easy just long, not as long as Storm Squadron, but close.

I just finished Tier 3 in Black Epsilon and I feel your pain (I had to do Mission 4 a dozen times before I learned the key to completeing it). It seems as if all Tier 3 missions (regardless of squadron) are very difficult.

The key, as many others have already pointed out, is to get help from other pilots. Ask as many as you can to go along with you (Imp or Neutral) - preferably those who have already done the missions or are Aces. That way you can get a little payback and gank the missions like they have been ganking you!

Just be sure to stay out of harms way if you can - I can't tell you how frustrating it is to make it to the finalstep in a mission with a bunch of other people and then get waxed because you tried to help out! This means starting all over again....usually with a group of annoyed wingmen...

Just be sure to tell them up front why you are "hiding" most of the time.

Hope this helps. And good luck to you!

Some of Storm Squadrons mission are well over a hour I did them all and Know.

And yes it is hard to get groups when the mission takes over a hour.

For the record, I managed to get lucky and finish all but the last part of the SS tier 3 first mission solo. I knew I couldn't take the last bit, but there was an Ace imp pilot on the ground there who was kind enough to help me through that last little bit. That was a month ago. I'm STILL 3/2/2/2, and honestly all I ever use my Intercepter for is travelling from planet to planet while I grind Commando.

Yes, JTL got me back into the GROUND GAME, because of the length of the SS missions. I've not had much luck getting wingmen, except that one time, so until I find a few that are willing to deal with the time involved, well, maybe I'll make it to FS yet...

And I wound up blowing so many credits on my Intercepter to get it up to snuff (not easy within the mass restrictions), and sold all my old parts, so I'd have to start completely over if I switched squadrons. So that idea doesn't thrill me, either.

Ah well, if you're on Lowca, give me a /tell, I'd love to help out/be helped

I didn't really participate in ground combat all that much. JTL, on the other hand, I'm really enjoying. Some of the missions are a bit harder on your own but I'm here to be in a multiplayer environment, so that's no big deal. If I can't find a group and I need one, I'll wait til I can to do the mission. It's not a race. Besides, if it was easy and you couldn't fail, how would succeeding be enjoyable?

As for mission lengths, yeah, it does get a bit irritating sometimes. For instance, when the ship you're escorting on an emergency evacuation from the sector is only going 125 for about two days.

I don't think so. I helped a couple friends doing their storm squadron missions, and none of them took us over 1 hour to finish, especially the Tier 4 missions - they're not easy but certainly not long if you know exactly what to do.
