I have, not purposefully, over time become force sensitive and apparently you cant transfer your charcter if there even just force sensitive. Is there any way to drop it? As starting a fresh is really not appealing and id rather transfer with my skills.

Starting fresh on another server can be very daunting, but I would say that starting fresh solely for space events is pretty easy. I have an alt who basically only does space pvp and some space missions, and you don't need too much time nor too much support to master your pilot profession for that. With some loot/faction farming, usually done while looking for other overts in space during the week, you can keep afloat pretty easy as well, and finance the replacements for ordnance and ships you spend in space pvp.

Put lke that it doesnt seem to daunting im just worried a bit as ground proffs are going to be incredibly hard to master after the CU.

Another quick question, how do Freelance pilots fit into pvp? I really love the Privateer ships but would also love to take part in some space pvp (something thats not exsistant on bloodfin).

We got a few freelancers on Starsider, as long as you are factioned on the ground you can go overt at a space station and take part in pvp. You can't go overt and enter Deep Space, but you can enter Deep Space as a covert member of a faction and pvp there. We usually see krayts or dunelizard style 1 out there, the other ships seem to big for their mass, but the dunelizards do pretty well despite their size. Personally, I prefer the factioned ships for space pvp, both for looks and handling.

As far as ground profs are concerned... my Imp pilot alt has one novice profession, and has not spent a minute aquiring any skill boxes. 235 free skill points, and I think 60 unarmed and 6 combat exp when a kreetle once attacked me on the way to a vendor. Rest is space combat and prestige.

Privateer ships are kind of lame for PVP, unfortunately. The Krayt's wide firing spread and turret make it a surprisingly good PVPer for a heavy fighter, but the Dunelizard is a sort of light/medium hybrid that doesn't have the profile or maneuverability to compete, and while the Kihraxz has the best PYR accel around, its 40K mass trips it up before its monstrously large profile (well, compared to the A-Wing and Adv/Ints, anyway) delivers the death blow.

However, it's looking like the Jedi Starfighter is going to be a good choice for a light fighter, and since everyone will have access to it, it can fill the role for privateers. Also, if the heavy Scyk is heavy enough--40K would do it, and maybe even 30K if you can resign yourself to getting one-shotted every single time--it should be a competitor.

Heck, with 30K mass you could do something crazy like run with a level 6 engine and gun for 18-20K mass, get a capacitor and reactor in for 3.5K, a chaff launcher for another 1K, then finish it up with a missile launcher for 5.5K and absolutely no shields or armor. Sure, you'd die the first time anyone looked at you cockeyed, but you could fly with such reckless abandon you could really throw a wrench in the works of the other side.

Privateer ships suck in PvP because of their sheer size. Take a Ryx and put it right next to an X-Wing. It's 3X the size! It's wider, thicker and longer! It' sjust one big freakin' target.

Put it next to a TIE or an A-Wing and you can see the disadvantageis even greater by far.

Anyway, as far as Starsider goes I used to have my main here at the beginning of SWG Live. He's still there, but I moved to Bria in August/September of '03 because at that time I was having a very difficult time staying connected to the Starsider galaxy. CTD ALL THE TIME!!!

Well, anyway I have a guild now on Bria and we all pretty much like JTL and some amount of RP. Bria has an ok amount of people up in space, but the RP sucks all over and many people are jerk-faces.

I've been logging into Starsider from time to time and the overall feel is completely different in comparison. You see people talking (yes, talking!) in cantinas, as well as people stopping to chat while walking around a city. You don't get that much elsewhere.

I am seriously thinking about bringing up a move from Bria to Starsider. Only thing is there is so much we'd be leaving behind.

I mean, I've been there for 1 1/2 years!

Well that will change for Freelance pilots with RotW, I'm hoping the Jedi Starfighter in't that good compared to the a-wing or tie interceptors though,I'd hate the thought ofRebels, Imperials and Freelance allusing the same ships for PvP.

Yeah, I agree. It should be a lesser ship. What the devs need to do is add a new PvP ship to Privateer master tree (not the BS Krayt). And by that I mean that the Krayt is awful in PvP. It is HUGE! I have a Master Reb and a Master Privateer and in my A-Wing I am so close to untouchable. In that Hulk of a ship Krayt I might as well name it Target because that's all it really is in PvP.

The Viper would be a good choice for a good, small Privateer ship that they could use in PvP and PvE.

Well I did it, my in-game name is Ladarus Calvert. Could anyone reccomend which Rebel squadron to join? Or are they all fairly similar. (Didnt have this desicion with Privateer, how could you choose anything other the smuggling alliance? )

Well the Kraytis too big to be a good PvP ship but itis one of the best PvE ships around and compared to Imperial and Rebel master fighters is the best one IMO so BS is a bit much.

If theywere toadd another fighter for freelance pilots as an option for PvP it shouldn't be in the master box, that way someone doesn't have to wait untill master to join in or try out PvP.

If you're looking for an easier squadron, don't join the Vortex out of Moenia, Naboo. Go with either Crimson Phoenix on Tatooine or Arkon's Havoc on Corellia.

Thanks for the heads up, but I picked Vortex - I like a challenge
