God that thing is a wet dream. Is getting master Imp pilot dificult? Cause im dying to take charge of that ship!

Hmm, well, not really that hard until the end, at least to me it wasn't. But I heard it's gotten tougher on the low level missions since I've been a newer pilot. I've seen lots of threads asking they tone down the difficulty of the "newbie" missions, and apparently devs agree b/c they have been patch fixing in just that. So, I guess maybe now it will have the right balance of difficulty and "doability" hehe, my own word.

heh, 100k is just what you pay to the chassis broker (tier 3 ships) that doesn't even include the price that the Shipwright charges you to make the blueprint.

But the Light Duty TIE is just some junk they made up so they can have you with a crappy ship. There's the Light Duty TIE, the TIE Fighter, then the TIE/In Fighter, all of which look exactly the same, except that last one, it is a slightly different color, it's like a deep blue. Only difference in them though is the max mass, so you'll be able to equip slightly more items as you advance with them.

Ok, eather way it appears JTLS is a billionares game. I honestly cant afford to buy ship after ship, upgrade the heck out of them, use them till I get the next box, then repeat. How are we expected to pay for this with credits?

Well there's no law that says you have to keep every ship, once you think you've gotten all the use you can out of a ship and comps, sell them off to help cover the cost of your next ship, there's bound to be someone just starting that can use what you're finished with. But really making money in SWG is easy if you know how, I don't have any monetary woes so ship cost doesn't really concern me, plus I plan on mastering shipwright anyway.

Ok, and I also have a question. Right now the Imp pilot tree says it costs 0 points to learn. I know this wont be true when JTLS runs, but in order to master IMP pilot, will I have to totally drop my ground game? I want to master commando and master pilot.

And as for making credits in game, its very hard for me to do for some reason. I run missions all day (8K faction missions when I can get buffed) and if im buffed I can run them all day. But when im not, I get destroyed. Eather way it means low credits on my half.

You have been missinformed, all Pilot professions require 0 skill points, Only shipwright requires the use of the current skill point system.

That's false, it will still be 0. its that way so that everyone can become pilot and keep thier current character. And for the money part, why u doin 8k missions? go to dant and do like 26k missions or go to dant and do those same ones for about 36k in an improved job market. That's why u don't get alot of money.

Lower level ships will cost less then higher lvl ships. To give you an idea, here is the resource list as I understand from what people have posted in shipwright discussions (I wasn't in beta so I can not personally verify). Now keep in mind that this is just to create the blueprints (you then need to turn them in with some credits to a NPC to get the ship chasis). Then you need to add your engines, shields, and so forth.

Novice:

TIE Light = 5,000 resource units

Lvl 1:

TIE Fighter = 13,000 resource units

Lvl2:

TIE/In Fighter = 30,000 resource units

Lvl3:

TIE Interceptor = 60,000 resource units

TIE Bomber = 60,000 resource units

Lvl4:

TIE Advanced = 80,000 resource units

TIE Aggressor = 80,000 resource units

Master:

TIE Oppressor = 150,000 resource units

VT-49 Decimator = 150,000 resource units

----------------------------

The earlier ships should be pretty cheap, while I bet the latter ones will be fairly expensive. Finally, keep in mind, that you can get a non-upgradable novice ship for free from your recruiters.

Fastest way to make money is supplying people with resources. Assuming you're a combat profession the easiest people to supply is doctors. Also would depend on your servers and your economy, but assuming it's good you can make a fortue selling the good meats and things to doctors.

I can harvest enough meat to make 1 mil off of a good spawn in 2-3 hours (way less if it's off a high level mob where you get more per harvest)

Example, there wasa spawn of avian meat on bria one time when I started a character there, it was on correlia, ofcourse there are only a few types of birds on correlia, and they all only give small amounts of meat. But in just 2 hours I harvested enough meat to make 600k, that was selling the meat at 100cpu, which was the average rate for it at the time. But depending on your server that could be more or less.

Now imagine if you had the patience to farm this meat for more than 2 hours and you did it everyday for the entire time the meat was available, you'd be a millionaire by the time you were done just from this one spawn. And it's never a problem selling the stuff, docs are always yelling about what they need in the starports and stuff.

Anyway, that's one way to go, but I got rich long ago and I don't spend a lot of money, so I never have to worry about it. I got my fortune back when krayt pearls were selling for 5-10 mil, I looted 3 back to back, boom 21 mil heh, so I was set since I don't buy up tons of stuff like some people.

BTW, nice screenshots. That definatly has the look of an Imperial ship. I can just imagine the Imperial March music playing as that thing flys by....
