Bugger it!! Lets stophoping SOE will get off there arses and do something and get onto LucasArts, directly to Lawrence Holland and get him on the case to creating the next in the X-wing series. Add the modifacation content from this, but make it an online war with all the great gaming content of the original X-wing games. Damit I want fall out space war where my piloting skill means a dam, where every loss counts and every victory mean something. Only Lawrence can save us now!!!

Really needs more factions in space.


I dont mean just Rebels & Imperials, but pirates (Jabba, etc) or even the simple functionality to be able to disabled a craft, board it, kill the crew, steal the cargo and sell it on the black market


Im a big fan of freedom of choice in any game, and Space is the biggest place to have freedom, but it seems that were forced into Rebs Kill Imps, Imps Kill Rebs and Neutrals kill either.


It would be really cool to gain a reputation in space as a law man or a pirate, so that some space stations wont let you dock, or the Imperials increase thier presence at some places.


I know that alot of our suggestions pritty much point in the direction of 'Wait for Elite 4' but if you could combine all the best elements of the 'Elite' series and the story of Star Wars, im sure that you cant go far wrong with JTL.

Personally I would like the ability to live in my POB ship, and be able to log outin proximity to a space station or relatively safe space sector (at my own peril of course), or to be able to log out dockedwith aspace station with any of my smaller ships. I think it would be awesome to log out in my VT or YT or Nova, and log in and immediately be able to fly of when I log into the game again, and see other player ships around me and have the ability to go visit them, by simply looking up their docink bay number!


I would also like smuggler be granted to option to "soup" ships up, by modifying the components, AS the shields and armour, and WS the weapons systems. That would bring back a certain community structure to the feel of the game.


I have been hankering after some high end missions which might involve being pursued by another POB ship or a small fighter not unlike the chase in episode 2! It would be awesome to fly through an asteroid enabling our lights, even if it meant slowing down the speed and taking a bit more hit damage, because along with this this I would like to see a small amount of collision damage. That would sort the pilots out, showing of your skills as to who took less collision damage!


I truly love the idea of docking with space stations, and being able to trade looted components or loot (that should be implemented in space - CARGO) to junk dealers or collectors, and hanging out in the cantina on the space port. Imagine docking with a space staion similar in design to the Mustafar ground mining facility, where there are NPC's moving about and interacting with their environment,


(I am thinking especially of the disgruntled tourists in the mining facility lol.)


It would also be truly awesome to pick up space BH missions, that might or might not have a ground component involved, and finally I would love to see the correllian corvettes be spaced based in TOTAL. In other words, you have to launch from a star port, get past a few minor defences from the CC itself, dock, and infiltrate the ship.....


.....LIKE WE WERE SHOWN AT FAN FEST!!!!!


But I guess this this is not going to happen, as we are not the economy drivers in game.


Still, it would be so cool.....................

Devs need to do something for space since everyone is a pilot

Between ourselves we have got some really good ideas here. But at the moment SOE are intent on cashing in on the release of Episode III. First with the lame ROTW and now with TOOW. However reports say that the TOOW is promised to be much better than the ROTW, so fingers crossed guys and gals. But please when TOOW is up and running can the devs please turn the attention back to the current game. Not too long ago we had the CU upgrade, many were against it but I reckon it hasnt worked out that bad. It is time now for the devs to improve our beloved piloting game. I think many would agree that little needs changing in the way we do combat, little tweaks here and there are sometimes welcome but we need a more hands on approach to our piloting. Somebody mentioned bounties in space and wow what a cool way to finally finish off an oponent that has managed to evade you. Not to mention the great ideas that has filled this thread already. We want a presence of more Capital ships in some form, make us think we are in the star wars universe, let us feel it also, and you will see more and more people flying in space and enjoying it. Stop neglecting what we have, after TOOW is up and running give us a space game that rivals the anything else out there..... Amen to that my fellow pilots!! I just hope they are listening.

I agree, JTL needs proper content. Not a new quest or ship now and again.

This guy has the right idea!!! I want huge Tie Fighter battles, I want to blow up the Death Star! I want Imps to try and blow up Yavin!!!! Lol, I bet we have an expansion to JTL, next summer. What a waste, another 6 months of R + D and JTL could've been the best part of the game.

well the y8 is kind of like a capital ship it has a bridge which i think is cool but it would b awsome to enter space stations and stuff and maybe instead of havin the super star destroyer as part of a space zone as some of u have suggested have it in the backround, less lag that way, plus it is like 4-5 km long

there is one problem with colision damage, lag say ur flyin around mindin ur own buissness in the tat system asteroid field and then all of a sudden boom som anoying jerk is spamming launchm and the explosions are lagging you all of a sudden ur dead from crashing into an asteroid head on at mach 3
