Thread: going to flame me for this

I liked Dantooine alot better before you could build PCs there, and i think building one on any planet near a POI is lame
I'm with you on Dantooine being way too built up (can probably throw Lok in there as well), but not so much on POI building. In some cases I don't like it, such as the Krayt Graveyard towns, but the guy who responded about tourism and such, that floats for me.
Unfortunately I don't think there's ever going to be a way Dantooine will become "wild" again, although it was a great place to hunt and explore as a n00bie back before Player Cities and mounts were around. The way it seems now, Dantooine is little more than a safe-place for Jedi to level where there can always be a house or city nearby, and the mobs give good enough XP to be worthwhile. I guess that's all fine and well, but I do miss the old days hunting Pickets on the wide open plains.

I just feel they are special areas of the game you shouldn't be able to shuttle right into them, or clone that close when you die. It also makes it easy to camp spawns
Yeah, I understand what you mean. It almost takes away the specialness (is that even a word?) of the POI.. for instance the old Jedi ruins. That's a place that should be waaaaay out there, hard to get to, so when you finally arrive, the experience is spectacular. The only way to really do this now is to have your character run out there from likethe mining outpost, maybe set up a few camps along the way to get the full RP experience.
I can see both sides of it though... the tourism aspect vs the RP aspect. Personally I like both ![]()

Why cant POI's have the same restrictions that NPC cities have?
